We had a explanation. It's a bit difficult to hear since you have to stand outside at the sales counter (where other people come to buy their cheese). It's around half an hour explanation, then you can taste the different types of cheese. Delicious, but too much quantity (guess to justify the price of 20€). It was a nice experience. We did the for 25 Euros. You go behind the scenes and see how the is made. We were shown the difference between mozzarella, burrata, bocconcini, ricotta. After the half an hour of walking us through the whole process we were seated in the yard and were given a feast. We were served a bunch of fresh soft cheeses, a big selection of older hard cheeses, some salmi, half a liter of wine, water, and bread. It was more than enough food for us to finish. We could not finish everything, we took the rest for home. We also got an extra ball of burrata. This is a fantastic local place for and salumi. There are tables outside, and Homer, a mozzarella maker, is preparing fresh in front of you. If you see a señora around 80 years old walking around, serving and cleaning the tables, you are probably seeing Tonia, the owner of the place, working like a young girl. Sorry for not taking more photos of the place, I was busy eating and enjoying the place. A memorable in this beautiful region! If you are in the area make sure to visit this place. The place is among hectors of olives and citrus and you get a chance to escape in a different world. Their products are all genuine and you get 200% value for money as after they show you how is made they welcome you in their garden and offer you their delicacies. A suggestion would be to skip breakfast as the servings where huge. Thanks Lamapecora keep up the good work. I cannot recommend the tasting more! We were shown how the is made. The tasting allows you to try different cheeses and includes a glass of wine. 6 stars if possible! Our stay started in the evening we came late and were very hungry and the stuff took care of us, placed the whole table of their own cheese, ham, bread and even wine! All was so natural and tasty and welcoming! The place is perfect for calm, quiet stay with nature. The farm is gorgeous, *no bad smell* for those who is wondering, very peacefull and feels like home. We felt like family, always took care of. The room: gigantic room, it's huge! Whole full farm experience, kitchen, large double bathroom, the beds are great, places to sit all along the place. For kids will be also great. Friendly pets, 25 min drive from everywhere, the little thing of them, placing jar of fresh, warm, tasty milk on the bench near the door, every morning, is just perfect. We have a lot more to write about our at Lamapecora, but you should see it yourself :) We cane for tour and really liked it. They show the making of mozzarella and explain everything, and then you get to try a wide array of cheeses on their sunny terrace. Must for and olive oil lovers. We came for the tour. It is a live show on how to make mozzarella and it's variants. After this, you can enjoy a and other local products tasting. (Olive oil, olives, charcuterie and they also offer some wine) Servings are pretty big. Super friendly staff, very recommend if you are a lover. Excellent value for the money. Definitely worth the visit. ;) Masseria Lama Pecora offers two things: Handmade fresh dairy products like mozzarella, burrata, ricotta and other as well as a few lovely rooms. The Masseria is in a perfect location between Fasano and Savelletri and in the middle of old olive trees. It’s therefore a perfect base for exploring the surroundings. The service is extremely friendly and the fresh products from the shop allow you to have romantic picnics in front of your room. We felt very welcomed at Lama Pecora and can definitely recommend it. Be aware that a train line is passing close to the azienda although it’s not very loud. came for the cheesemaking tour, stayed for the degustation. really nice staff, from the cheesemaker to waiters. if you like eating in the middle of olive grove, this is a place for you.
