The forest around the site is pleasant and cool. It is located close to a French nuclear power plant. So cool. There are 4 areas to see here; not sure which is public vs private. We were planning to take a in Schoenenbourg - but has a snag earlier in the day and ran out of time. You can only see outside - although a light came on inside when we got closer and if you bring a bright flashlight you can see in a bit farther - the beauty of this place is the quietness out in the middle of nowhere which is sometimes better than a tour.
