I feel really bad writing this as I understand it's a family run but it has to be said. I booked for two adults and three kids to go here. As soon as we pulled in it was a "oh god what have we done moment". No parking suitable for normal vehicles, everywhere is just sloppy mud. One toilet functional, which absolutely stank and was in really bad condition. The whole site is very run down, lots of enclosures for way too small. Volunteers were very happy and helpful, but the vibe I got from this was it was done cheaply and quickly and it was awful. The website clearly shows train ride included but they charged for it. Through a little black tunnel with a couple sets of lights on it. I was actually embarrassed I brought family here. I am sorry to be negative as I know the site has tried to do something for Christmas but it is really really poor and frankly I'm gutted. Had a nice few hours here with my daughter (3.5) today. Staff lovely and facilities adequate (hint: toilets along the track towards open fields are better). Very close animal contact, with many wandering free. Basic hot food, drinks and snacks available (seasonal, check before). Definitely a rustic farm, but that's the charm. Bring wellies if any recent rain. Even the rain today didn't spoil the day as we went in the covered seating and did some crafting. Overall a good way to spend some time in the country. Lovely place!! We camped for the night and had the best time- staff were so accommodating and allowed us to book at 6pm on our day of arrival! Amazing atmosphere and so picturesque! We had the best time and the were lovely and so calm. Thanks so much for having us, we’ll definitely be coming back ☺️ Have visited Daisy Mays a few times. My Grandson loves getting close to the animals. The was made to look festive for Christmas. Love supporting a local where the staff work hard to look after the and make the experience memorable for all. Keep up the good work Daisy may farm, I can’t praise enough. I have been 3 times now and it’s been magic. My 2 kids loved it so much ! The Halloween event was great but Christmas has blow my socks away considering this is a small run business, you can see how much effort they have put into making this magic for young kid. And the price are so cheap !! When I got food I was expecting it to be about 40 pounds no 10 pounds on burger 2 kids box and coffee This has so much to offer ,would recommend! this is the best little I’ve ever been to. I love it so much. The are so well trained and cute. I wouldn’t go if ur afraid of because sheep walk around sometimes what I love! Baby what you can hold and little animals. Before you could feed baby goats with a milk bottle I don’t know if they still do that. I love the events they do. The staff are lovely and kind. If you want to do something with the kids that isn’t to expensive recommend this!! We have visited Daisy May’s a few times now but this was our first time at Christmas and we had such a lovely afternoon out. The is quaint and charming, the staff are kind and welcoming and it’s clear that a lot of thought and effort has gone into their Christmas experience. The children had a lovely time cuddling newborn goats, feeding animals, decorating baubles, meeting Santa, going on the little train and having a story with hot chocolate and marshmallows. The price is extremely reasonable. We’ve spent far more money on Christmas experiences that our children have enjoyed far less. We’ll definitely be back again soon! We were there yesterday and had a marvellous time, it was like a different universe from the review that I just read. My normal car did ok in the carpark, the prices were very low and the wonderful and staff all looked happy to me. We ate sausages that were produced from their own pigs and were very good quality and extremely cheap, it was a great lesson for the kids to see that sausages, pulled pork and eggs don't start off in Tesco! This was a wonderful way to start Christmas and you should not be put off by the previous review that must be from someone with an agenda that didn't include having fun. I think that it was big enough that we can fit in another visit before Christmas and still be kept occupied for a full day and then plan for the delights of spring on the farm!
