We hired a meeting room with catering. Facilities in the room were good, plenty of seating/tables for 20+ people. The room we used was the smaller one, with open doors on to a patio overlooking the pitch. Catering was great, keeping tea and coffee in supply. The buffet was varied enough, but simple enough to be fully consumed. A facility. Plenty parking. Free. Easy access. Friendly welcoming helpful staff. Hottest day ever and sports hall had air conditioning , for our badminton could not be better. Full marks. As a club we do lose out school hols when schools are booked on but generally fine. We book 2/3 courts which are always prepared for us. Not expensive. Roof lighting for us not the best. Great (recently replaced) we went for a school event and the only downside was the lack of parking due in the main to inconsiderate parking by the school minibus’s mostly taking 2 (and sometimes 3) spaces! Despite the pitch being surrounded by a running track, a nice stadium and view from the main stand. However, I did not like how cramped the terrace was. Need to have more people on turnstiles for busy games (took us 20+ mins queuing to get in on new year's day), and as it incorporates an athletics track, you're quite far from the action. Depsite these issues, it's a modern stadium with decent facilities and I would return. athletics with a amount of parking We went with our Maldon Soul Runners running group for a 1st time taster session at the track. Great atmosphere, great and great facilities. It's great that CCFC have a permanent home but this is not a football stadium. The pitch is surrounded by a running so there's very little atmosphere because the supporters are so far from the touchline. The bar staff are delightful and a couple of real ales were available. I don't do burgers and hotdogs etc. but if that's your thing then you're in luck. A proper big catering van with a big queue with people getting served quickly. It's a great stadium with (probably) everything you will need. For and field specifically it seems like a really place to train. The only hassle is booking a session. For some reason it is really tricky to understand on their website what hours are available and how to book them. I am told the app is a better experience but I haven't had the time to try it. You can always call to ask for availability and the staff are always helpful. Overall haven't had a bad experience.
