Il y a quelques années, Oratino a été choisi comme l'un des 100 plus beaux villages d'Italie. Situé à proximité de Campobasso, ce charmant village perché possède, entre autres, une belle place principale, un belvédère offrant une vue imprenable sur la vallée de la rivière Biferno en contrebas. Des rues et ruelles attrayantes dans la partie la plus ancienne du village, avec des bâtiments et des maisons presque toutes en pierres polies (le village est célèbre pour ses tailleurs de pierre et ses sculpteurs). Like many villages in Molise, Oratino is small, well-kept and replete with little interesting points of interest. It has a beautiful decorated cupola and in the main square near the statue there is a terrace which gives the most mind-boggling panorama of the area surrounding it. There is an annotated sketch which tells you the name of the villages and other points of local interest you can see from it. The town has less than 1,700 inhabitants but it was a nice place to stop for a coffee and admire the view. Amazing view. Sunset is beautiful. Probably the best place to see a sunset in Molise! A pochi chilometri da Campobasso si trova un piccolo comune circondato da un magnifico paesaggio naturale che spazia su uno sconfinato territorio caratterizzato da piccoli borghi e massicci montuosi. Un comune che stilla da ogni angolo arte, storia, tradizioni e bellezza in un’atmosfera di serenità e accoglienza. Un posto magico: il paese degli scalpellini e dell'uncinetto. Vicoli, piazzette, case, portoni, tutto fantastico e sospeso nel tempo. Tutte le stradine sono in pietra. Neanche una carta in terra. Un panorama mozzafiato. Una vera propria perla (un'altra!) di questa splendida Regione: il Molise. Un borgo molto carino ma sopravalutato paragonandolo ad altri borghi considerati i più belli d'Italia. La piazza principale offre una vista pazzesca È uno dei pochi paesini visitati in cui non ci sono molte scale per raggiungere le varie viette. Veramente un borgo adorabile bello ordinato pulito che ti accoglie con la sua popolazione cordiale e le sue stradine perfette molto curate.
