Sendero Aqua García - very nice forest with easy hiking with children. Place for BBQ, parking, children playing area. nice hiking area in a forest. not too many viewpoints though. different route options with different lenght Wonderful place for a short or long trekking. Really nice to go with children and the light in between the tree branches is super! Recomendable place if you want to walk a bit with friends or family. Great parque. Our yorkie loved it. This is a lovely hike to do with children. You can start on the Guardianes Centenarios route, a short flat which leads you to a small maze of caves, where kids love to run around and play (we love to act out "We're going on a bear hunt" with one of us pretending to be a bear at the back of the cave). From there you can continue on the wide up to Lomo La Jara, where there is a barbecue and picnic area and a small playground. A 2.6km through the forest leads back down to Agua Garcia. The trails are very well maintained and easy, but not boring. There is another lovely picnic spot at the end of the wheelchair-accessible part of the trail. Really good hiking tracks for everyone, we had older ladies with us and they managed to wall few kilometres without any problems Lovely easy hike through ancient laurisilva forest from the cenozoic era. We hiked for about an hour past the ´glass caves´, along the Toledo ravine (Barranco de Toledo) and the 1000 yearold Persea trees (viñátigos). The visitor´s centre was open and I got maps and lots of information about the areas and the ´glass caves´ which seemed to have been mined for glass during a decade from the 1950´s. There is an adapted path for prm´s, persons with reduced mobility, with a ledge built alongside the for blind persons to use their cane. Beautiful trail! Even on a hot day it was ok in the shade.
