Good trekking, the yellow one. Maybe 5km took us 1:45,.half of the treak is on the road and not in the forest but it's pleasant. No toilet paper in the bathroom. Nice Forest Nice with a great view of the north coast and Teide. The trials should have more signals though one of the most beautiful areas on Tenerife, partly very steep to 35.2. with side shortcut but the view is stunning and definitely worth it. Good shoes are a must on the tour! Great and BBQ spot! Many options for different fitness levels. There's even a bike route starting nearby. Has a public restroom. Amazing place for BBQ with free toilet, playground and water source (not potable). A few circular routes about 5km long. The Forest...the park...the natural routes...the peace....the force of the Nature around you....this is my description of this place..where you can find peace ..make a barbecue...and enjoy the power of the North of Tenerife close to the Teide Volcano.....just unique... Very nice for a walk around... we did a hike to reach the destination It's a wonderful feeling to step on the crater of volcano. This place gets busy with family picnics at the weekends so parking can become difficult. It's the main parking area for the start of numerous hikes and trails, but so many are taped off or blocked with danger/warning signs (when you're half way along the trail) that it's hardly worth bothering. Many of these trails have been (temporarily?) closed for years, which is inexcusable for an island that prides itself on it's fantastic routes. Great place but beware toilet closing early! We arrived at 4.30 to find them shut. Not restricted to here either - obviously no one goes to the toilet after 3pm. Shame otherwise the place is impressive with walks and pits for BBQs. Dogs are not on their leashes in the path. The Tenerife Locals are very rude and it seems like they don‘t like the foreign tourist. We are Tourist who wanted to go for a peaceful walk in the pine forest but were sniffed and jumped by dogs. As we raised our concerns towards the owners because we don‘t know the intention of the dogs and they were not on the leash, both ladys started mocking us. I cannot recommend this area who are concerned about dogs without leash or rude locals. Brilliant. Really good. Very excellent. The only downside is that a lot of the paths are seemingly closed due to indescribable dangers. Literally indescribable. E.g. we don't know what they are. No one does. Not even those writing the signs. But, that is all part of the fun I guess.
