Really nice bakery, pastries are fresh and not overly sweet. Limited tables inside which is a bit frustrating as they’re often full. Food is also really here and they have a selection of burgers, panini’s pancakes etc Great place in Daugavpils to seat with family. Even if menu is short it covers cuisines of different countries. We ordered Pide with meat and Pancakes with fruits. It was a surprise to see Pide in menu, it didn’t taste as it should but it was delicious. Pancakes was great as well. We came to Testo café with two friends, having only 30 minutes to spare, but the was so disorganized that it completely ruined the visit. We waited ages to get anything, desserts arrived first, drinks came 15 minutes later — except one was forgotten entirely and only brought when we were already leaving. They took payment upfront, so walking away wasn’t an option, and other guests who arrived later were served before us. My cappuccino arrived without the sauce or sugar I had requested, and overall the staff seemed confused and inattentive. The desserts themselves were fine, but the experience was overshadowed by poor organization, long waits, and a feeling that we were completely forgotten. At the counter, the staff mixed up orders, didn’t seem to know who ordered what, and even speculated about someone leaving without paying — despite the café not being busy at all Very nice coffee and pastry. Staff are very nice and speak perfect English. A really place to take a break while exploring the city centre. The concept and design of this place is truly amazing. Yet, the rest needs a lot of attention. I got served with what tasted like 3-days old bun that smelled bad and tasted even worse. When I returned the bun, I was offered another one no questions asked. On top of that experience, the WC got me thinking whether the state of their kitchen is the same … The classic Asian compliment for pastries is that they’re ‘not too sweet.’ And yes the pastry and cake here are too to be true! such a lovely balance of texture and flavor. They look good, smell good, taste good, and will not causing you to have diabetes. I wish Tecto could franchise over the world. Fantastic by staff a very tasty food!
