We had lunch here after a walk along the river. Service was and fast, food was good and prices what would be expected in Switzerland. This is a very place with plenty of parking spaces and it has a small playground for children. Lovely place, amazing Rösti, very service. We stopped by for a lunch after a hike in the area. We tried lamb's liver with Rösti, trout and pumpkin soup. All dishes were very tasty. This unique little gem of a in the middle of the forest serves traditional Swiss food at top quality. The staff are welcoming and smiling, and the setting among big trees in a forest clearing is simply beautiful. On colder days you can also sit inside in the cosey old wooden building (might want to book a table, if so). stopping place if you are hiking or biking in the area. Friendly service. Ich komme sehr gerne hieher, auch nur zum Kaffee 🙂 Die Lage dieses Restaurants ist erlebenswert. Rundum im Grünen, weidende Schafe und Kühe, singende Vögel und das Plätschern der Lorze. Fast surreal, märchenhaft und wie aus dem Bilderbuch. In dieser zauberhaften Idylle trifft sich Vintage auf Gutbürgerlich. Ich genoss den Käsekuchen, der mit einer kleinen Salatgarnitur sicher aufgepeppt werden kann. Nächstes mal probiere ich den Haus Eistee, den ich heute zu spät entdeckt habe. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft It is actually not quite the restaurant, because they serve meals only very limited time during lunchtime, when we came ~2pm they said the'd only serve sliced cheese or salame... Also, I saw a shield which offers free coffee for the 5 star rating on google, which is kinda telling that is place is probably 2-3 stars at best... do not recommend. Family friendly, little ones can enjoy a small playground outside. The is very Swiss and traditional, staff very nice, we loved it. Very cosy. Claims to be open on Tuesdsys,but when we rocked up at 12:30 noon on a Tuesday in the end of April it was very clearly closed! This was simply noted with a handwritten sign propped in front of the saying "Ruhetag" (rest day), no further explanation. Online AND on a sign at the nearby Höllgrotten Caves the opening times were listed as being open Tuesdays. Someone was there, on the balcony (see photo), but ignored us. Simple but amazing food. You gotta try the local fish. And the owner is a beautiful person Steep walk to reach the entrance of the caves. No baby strollers allowed. Inside the caves it is very moist, the walking paths might be slippery and irregular. Beautiful stalactites and tiny lakes. The round trip takes about 30-45mins to be completed. Continue the path behind the tickets office and find a great picnics BBQ area with access to the river, very shallow water, perfect spot for small kids. Fresh and tasty food with great service.
