Large located “in the middle of nowhere” but very much welcome as a stop on our journey. Great outdoor area. Seats were a bit uncomfortable. was slow and not very attentive, I can imagine it’s much worse when there are more diners. We visited in the morning and it was almost empty. Coffee and food was average One hell of a place which is literally on top of flat mountain. The staff were brilliant. Helped us choose the food, it was really tasty. We tried the local brandy which was not my taste and I dint like it though. Highly recommend place if you’re heading towards the national park I took a scenic drive out with the goal of trying something widely praised as authentic Montenegrin cuisine. At first glance, this felt like the right choice — the building is beautifully maintained, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the menu features a solid range of local dishes that piqued my interest. Unfortunately, my fell short of expectations — though I’ll admit, that may be down to the dish I chose. I ordered the Kastradina, a traditional smoked lamb dish, and I truly struggled with it. The lamb was overwhelmingly fatty and bony, with very little actual to enjoy. The flavor was unusual, and it was paired with plain boiled potatoes that lacked any seasoning or accompaniment to lift the dish. I made a genuine effort to pick through it, but it was ultimately a disappointment. That said, I wasn’t ready to give up just yet — and I’m glad I didn’t. I followed up with the raspberry soufflé, which was absolutely fantastic. Light, vibrant, and perfectly done — a true highlight that ended the meal on a high note. We had a very pleasant stay, the hotel is located in the mountainous region of Montenegro, 30 minutes from the main road to the coastal area. It suits us better as they have plenty of parking and we are away from the busy area closer to the seaside. They were so kind to accommodate our very late arrival. I communicated this beforehand with the hotel, and they are very helpful. They arranged for a security guard to let us in and gave us our room key without checking us in as the reception was closed. They only have 10 rooms in the facility as they are mainly a restaurant. You get an a la carte every morning, and they have it between 7.30 and 12.00. Absolutely order the priganice / fritters, and freshly squeezed orange juice - they are the best! Their pita meso / pie was also great. We are very early eater, so we only had chance to eat dinner at their reataurant once, as we ate somewhere else on our way back otherwise. The food was and reasonably priced. We stayed with them for 10 nights and on our last night they left a bottle of wine as a gift with a very sweet note - which is very nice. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Montenegro, for sure! The was cooked perfectly—most of the dishes had braised that was tender and just melted in our mouths. The food was definitely on the heavier side, with lots of butter, oil, potatoes, and cheese. Be prepared and come hungry The food and here is beautifully traditional, the is stunning and they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I have eaten here 4 times will continue to come back. Keep up the great work. Really hotel! Great rooms, we had the familyroom which costed €10 more than a standard room but was really worth it. Very comfortable bed, spacious room, sofa, beautiful and practical bathroom. Beautiful design overall and all quality materials used, minibalcony. Liquor filled minibar but no coffee and tea facilities. Makes one wonder! 😁 Coffee and tea were the only little things we missed in the room. We liked the place so much we booked an extra night. Food was very good! I had the Karadorde Schnitzel, really and well prepared plus the cottage cheese salad (Sopska salad) which soon became one of my favorites in Montenegro. Homemade bread at dinner and breakfast. For one can order a la carte. Anything you like. First morning we had the Grahovo breakfast. It was but way too much for our stomachs. So next morning we asked for yoghurt (homemade), bread, jam and cheese and that was perfect. Very coffee and fresh orange juice. I really recommend this place. Tip for the manager: - coffeemachine in the rooms - add a light, healthy to the menu with yoghurt, cereals, fruitsalad, bread, jam, honey and cheese for other European travelers like us Thank you to all the friendly people that made us feel at home in Hotel Grahovic1858! Ambient: amazing terrace Parking: big, lots of space Food: excellent, recommend goulash and slow-cooked veal Price: same as Croatia Service: The staff…well let just say they act very indifferent. They don’t offer the menu for food, you have to ask for it. Waited 10min to get it. Then they give 1 menu, instead of two. Then after 5min they ask you, if you still need the menu, because they want to give it to another customer. If they improve on the staff, this would be excellent. We came for the All in all the food was good, we took calves and lambs under the bell, since this is what the recommended. We had some miscommunication with the when he brought us 2 salads but no plates for them. We had to ask a few times until we got some plates. Good food and a stop along the way. The best food and in Montenegro for sure. Stuff is so professional and amazing. Food is local, and quality of food is amazing. looks luxurious, everything is made of wood. Perfect choice if you want to traditional food of Montenegro. The best I've ever been to. 👌👌 Very with and fresh traditional food. Odlicna usluga odlicna kuhinja nisam stigla da sve slikam koliko smo brzo pojeli Sve pohvale za predivnog konobara Zeljka We've visited Grahovac several times – sometimes just for a quick coffee break, other times for a full meal – and every has been outstanding. The food is always top-notch, freshly prepared and full of flavor. The staff is warm, professional, and welcoming, creating a truly pleasant atmosphere. The place is immaculately clean, including the restrooms, which are among the cleanest we've seen on the road – a detail that really stands out. They've also opened a hotel, a playroom for kids, and now offer exciting jeep and G-moto tours, which we can’t wait to try on our next visit. A perfect stop whether you're just passing through or looking for a destination to relax, eat well, and enjoy a bit of adventure. Highly recommended! Fantastic experience! We asked our server, Vaso, to suggest dishes for our lunch, and we are so happy we trusted him! We had the rump roast steak and the pork ribs. Both were perfectly cooked and so tasty. Definitely the best pork ribs we’ve had in our lives! Great atmosphere, service, and food. Highly recommend! Great veal and lamb, bread, salads...but the potato served with veal was from day before and re-heated...many tourists and by-passers come here, so you can expect some trash to slide with your meal, which is dissapointing for such a restaurant. I ate at the restaurant, The place is beautiful, but the dishes where very salty. The didn't spoke English. The coffee was great, first time I drank coffee with fresh milk and not the long lasting one with the bad taste like in most montenegro coffee places. Izvanredan enterijer i osoblje. The food is great! The atmosphere is rustic and fun. The only problem is there are flies everywhere. No problem I used the silverware holder as a fly swatter. Food is very in both quality and quantity, but, the is woefully inadequate. It is NOT a language issue, just arrogance and laziness. I am writing this in real time. Asked for condiments for a pizza, some 15 mins ago with no to that effect. On reminding the attendant and VERY politely reminding him of the time ir was taken, I was told, extremely rudely and with an attotude "I am telling you NOW, we don't have any". The name of the attendant: Alex. STAY AWAY from this establishment if you don't want to ruin your day/trip/holiday. Amazing food and amazing homemade fruit juices! We visited Grahovic 1858 yesterday on our visit to Montenegro from Australia & had one of the best & most amazing meals we've ever enjoyed. The building & layout were most attractive, the was terrific & the meal & accompanying drinks were brilliant. We had a lovely relaxed lunch for about 4 hours of the best that Montenegro can offer, including even a complimentary desert tray which was totally unexpected & we were unable to finish despite our best efforts due to the wonderful entrees & mains we had already eaten. Just the restaurant, wasn't at all two piece of tomato, chewy sausages, a lot of fat, . They ask us to move to the second floor smoking area with our kids after we told them we are not smokers. After leaving the all our clothes was smell cigarette french fries was cold too. Odlična hrana, usluga još bolja. Puni razumjevanja za organizaciju rodjendana,da udovolje svakoj želji u mogućem. Sve pohvale, pravi Crnogorski domaćini, kako je uvjek i bilo u Crnoj Gori. I've now visited this twice. It has a beautiful dining room filled with historic newspaper clippings about the Krivosije Uprising and the people of the region. Last week, I ordered some veal stew. It was terrible. Both of us couldn't finish even half of it. We let the know, but he charged us for it anyway. I then ordered the Karadjordeva snicla, which is basically a Serbian version of Cordon Bleu. It was quite tasty, but the accompanying French fries were cold, old and rubbery. Every Serbian grandmother knows how to make veal stew and competently fry potatoes yet this couldn't manage either competently. One member of our group said the cevapi were quite good. We won't be going back again. Get a drink, not food ! The first didn’t seem happy to be asked to place us somewhere, we had to go to a different spot to get a smiling, oriented waiter. I had grilled chicken breast with grilled vegetables. The veggies were good, but the chicken breast scared me. I thought I had pork or some other meat, I had to ask to confirm it was chicken. The grilled chicken breast was very inconsistent, some pieces were fine, but others had a strange fibrous, rubbery texture that felt unsafe to eat. This raises serious concerns about quality, freshness and respect of the cold chain. I had to share it with my friends to get their feedback as well, and none of them was able to eat it. I wouldn’t go back there for food for sure ! the food was good, but unfortunately it arrived cold. If we hadn’t reminded the about our order, they would have forgotten us. They were busy serving every other guest except us, and I don’t know why.” I rarely leave negative reviews, but my at Grahovac Restoran was utterly disappointing. I ordered the white chicken fillet, which was so dry it was practically inedible. The “domestic” fries that accompanied it were old, cold, and shockingly tough—simply disgusting. The beefsteak salad was no better; the was stale and nearly impossible to cut. When I asked for a steak knife, the waiter—while polite and apologetic—simply informed me they didn’t have one. As someone with extensive in the hospitality industry, I can confidently say that this level of quality is unacceptable and would never be served to my clients. It’s a shame because I had been advised to try this place, but it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I had. Stopped for lunch crossing border from Bosnia to Montenegro on way to Kotor. One of the best meals we had in the Ballans. Waited recommended lamb under the bell, it was falling off the bone and generous portions, perfect potatoes and we had it with a salad. A really surprise - plus a spacious, smart venue with a big outdoor terrace. Great restaurant. I would give this zero stars if I could. Both and food were not amazing. We were especially quite taken aback by the rude who served us as never experienced anything like this before...a complete waste of time and money! For all the bold claims the resteraunt makes about being at the 'top' of everything it was just the opposite. I Live Nearby,so i come here usually! Today I came with my dad,we got some steak! The Steak was so delicious and tasty,it was a medium rare! I recommend The Steak! Hrana perfektna!
