Only down side I can see is pool can often be off limits as is hired out to local swim clubs.Other than that Great! Excellent new facilities in Neath centre, well stocked gym with a good mix of options across running machines, bikes, cross trainers, all manner of weights machines and an extensive free weights area. Good space to actually use the equipment and excellent support from the centre to achieve your goals. Health spa afterwards has steam and dry sauna along with a jacuzzi. My grand both have swimming lessons here. Lovely new building big family changing rooms . Small soft play area. Friendly staff. Cafe a bit expensive. New location etc is good but general hygiene / security needs a lot of work. Gym needs more frequent cleaning. Could do with extra machines / stations. Mould / algae growth visible in shower area. Signs of dried spit / nose clearance can be seen on bottom tiles around spa. Some dubious stains / marks in changing cubicles. Strong advice to bring flip-flops / sliders. Seeing they have seemingly improved the security have added a star. Cleanliness issues still abound. Seems they have found their feet more so I'll add a star. A new facility which the town needs badly for to be able to swim. Not the largest of pools but ok! On entering the Centre you’ll find yourself in a lovely Cafe Along with the Reception desks. There is also a small enclosed play-pen for young children. Toilets and Swimming pool also on the ground floor. Upstairs you’ll find the Gymnasium with plenty of Light! Parking nearby in the Multi-storey Car-Park. Sighted in a great location! Very helpful staff, good clean facilities. Cafe as well with small kids play Mindfulness/ also keeping fit and eating healthy be grateful for what you got stop looking for faults.amazing all rounder Great value for the monthly payment! We were not offered a refund. The health suite wad overcrowded! I Came to the gym this morning the radio is lacking any motivational music if I wanted to sleep I’d listen to radio one at home. The bins are overflowing the staff member is too busy talking to someone they know. Where is Ian when we need him ? He is a credit to the place and wouldn’t have us listening to music that is relaxing us more than making us upbeat and ready to work out… To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I went for kane swimming. Two middle lanes were open while the outer lanes were having lessons. were great and engaged in their lessons, made no difference to my swim. The water was a good temp despite others saying it was cold...nothing worse than a hot pool for lane swimming, you sweat buckets. Lockers were a pound or your own padlock, I always opt for the own padlock one I keep in my swimming bag. A decent size of lockers available, the taller one for my folded crutch in it easily. I used the accessible changing room, which was amazing. It's the first one I've uses that felt intentionally designed and not a forgotten ads one. Even had a seat with handles on which I uses to dress. Loo and shower also in there. I didn't use cafe or anything, went there, swim, went out. Changing was great and pool was fab. Nothing more to say really. Terrible staff members. Very rude! Can’t even feed your without being told to put your food away all because we did not buy the food from the cafe. They say you get free softplay if you buy food yet when we got here we walked to the man to pay he let us go in for free which shocked us. So we started to eat the food we bought from another shop. The lady who bought out food to another table came to our table telling us we ain’t aloud to eat in here because we didn’t buy something. So basically you ain’t aloud to eat in there unless you buy something from the cafe but even if you pay for softplay for still can’t feed your due to once again not buying food. How do you expect mothers to feed their not everyone can afford cafe food. Also what if your child has allergies!!! They say the tables are only for the cafe what about the mothers who only pay for softplay they ain’t aloud to sit at the tables to watch your children.
