I attended the armchair exercise classes here every Tuesday and Thursday.. our instructors are Cai and Craig. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The facilities are all easily accessed with a lift to both floors, allowing the disabled to enjoy the centres' many activities. Well, it's worth a visit if you're in the area. It's attached to the school giving them excellent facilities for their physical well-being. My husband and I have just taken retirement and decided to sign up for Risca Leisure membership. The gym suits us perfectly and loving the pool I can honestly say a lovely lady by the name of Mandy on reception was very helpful, polite and very patient with us. Nothing was to much trouble for her. Incompetent, lazy, brown curly haired receptionist. She always has a terrible attitude towards customers, all the other staff I've interacted with are lovely. There seems to be a couple of reviews of people who feel the same about this lady. Coincidence? The pool here has sensible swim time slots, without the requirement for online booking, making it a good place to take children to learn to swim. They also have swim slots with floats, pool toys and inflatables on Saturdays, making it especially enjoyable for children of different ages. It's not a huge or fancy pool, but is really well suited to meet the needs of the community. Can't beat it for the price really, has everything needed, just had new equipment the start of the year also. Can get a bit busy during day and peak times, and seems to have a lot of youngsters who seem to spend most of the time sat on machines for ages on phones but it's like that in every gym these days really, other than that I can't fault it, has everything needed, as well as pool etc Everything good but rude receptionist brown hair curly and glasses acts like she owns the place and looks down on everyone big put off! No customer service skills she is so disrespect and does not give a care in the world about queue she will take her sweet time or stands there talking knowing well how long you have been waiting. Ridiculous and pathetic she let's you down massively *karen* Its really fun to go there me and my friend go there every saturday morning 9 till 10 as there is a free public swim and we always have lots of fun. The only thing i think they could improve on is to add floats in the free swim. We would like to thank receptionists Tracey for saving us money on a joint membership for my wife and myself. She went above and beyond to look into this and set it up for us. Thank you, very much appreciated.
