Halo Pontypool Active Living Centre

Newport, United Kingdom Leisure center

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Great coffee in the cafe but too expensive for a casual sip after activity and not a great venue to make a visit just for coffee. £3.70 for a flat white. Not enough choice in something to go with it. Parking can be tricky in the afternoon, especially about 3pm when people park there to collect their kids from the school nearby. Some working folks leave their cars there all day. No checks. Standby for future parking rules 🤣🤣 Went for the autistic swim on a Friday lovely and quite and nice clean changing rooms Halo as a 63yr old I have just learnt that the was free for over 60yr olds. I understand that you have decided that you should change the age to 66yr olds. I had just got use to using the to be delighted not to pay. Now I have to pay. Dissapointed. What is your reasoning behind this decision. Had a bad experience with a rude receptionist Alex. Very passive aggressive. Then as I was leaving shouted my first name hopefully the new management company will address this poor behaviour/service. 6 days later still no call from management. My recent experience visiting the small learning - the temperature was very cold, in a that should be used for little ones could do with being kept at a moderately warmer temperature. Greatly accessible, and easy to book. Could potentially do with a little bit of life added into the smaller area, although slightly nostalgic, the Disney character mural on the wall has been there for at least 25 years, tiles could maybe do with a freshen up also. Not knocking the facility in the slightest as it is very much needed, appreciated and utilised. If with a young person full water suit may be better to allow for a longer time in the water learning and or playing. Will return, but worth others knowing Cafe is a joke, theres a queue for hot drinks. I go up to join the queue to be told no hot drinks after the customer in front of me. Obviously want a early finish. Still got 10 minutes before they close. Customer service shocking We were met by Lisa on reception. She was so lovely and helpful with biggest smile on her face :) First time called a head of time to try book my partner was spoke to Rudely on the phon. 2nd time I arrived to go swimming there Wasn’t enough life guards on duty so couldn’t have many people. Lady was helpful. 3rd time, managed to get in because it was late at night. Past 8pm, same lady helpful. Changing rooms were dirty. Same week gone back as per their easy holiday calendar arrived for public swimming to be told it’s book for a private event. How is this possible when the Easter Callander for literally a week shows the detailed timings. To be just be spoken rudely by the a young man on reception today. Making sarcastic comments about it. When they hadn’t changed anything online!!!! Also the extortionate cafe, had 3 people working. There was about 2 people sat down and it took 10mins to make two coffees. Want to look at their overheads & utilisation. Management really need to take a at how this place is ran and be a lot more organised. It’s a real shame Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
