Udaljeno je oko 20km od Sremske Mitrovice i Rume. Nastalo je u nekadašnjem kopu koji je poceo da se puni vodom osamdesetih godina prošlog veka, nakon što je kop napušten. Nakon 20 godina, jezero je dostiglo dubinu od 50m a dubina se i dalje povećava. Veruje se da je voda, kao i blato oko jezera lekovito, zbog svog mineralnog sastava. Iako pisu i govore da je voda prozirna, čista i poseduje neobičnu tirkiznu, azurnu boju i da cete se osetiti kao na moru, to bas nije tacno. Voda je mutna, doduse ima lepu boju, prilaz je sa jedne strane prasnjav i neugodan od ostrih kamencica a sa druge strane blatnjav kroz mulj sumarka, na plazi nema hlada a u sumarku nema sunca, okolo je svuda pobacano djubre, ni mirisi ne lice na more.
