Gedenkstätte/Museum Seelower Höhen

Seelow, Germany History museum

An impressive and memorial that commemorates a bloody battle with thousands of deaths. The video in the cinema is very moving and not for the faint of heart. One can only hope that the right people go to such memorial sites so that it becomes clear once and for all how senseless and unnecessary war is in the world. Small museum/memorial. Very helpful staff and thankfully the lady at the ticket office spoke English. The had English translation and the short film was also in English. The only down side was there is no parking at the moment but once all the building work is completed there will be. Thanks It's a small museum, but very interesting. An amazing place to visit, and very sombre to think of the death and suffering on both sides here. May they all r.i.p. a must see visit for all. A very interesting place, but the little should be bigger for a place of this historical importance. Staff is very nice It was interesting, good exhibition and unusually interesting museeum-movie shown , only in German without subtitles thou so out of luck if not understanding German , but rest of exhibition dual language eng / ger , as it is rather small and unusually for a Gedenkstätte they charge a 5 euro entry fee I can't say it is more than ok The only on the final major battlefield of WW2 in Europe. Small display and quite old film, but worth a visit. Tanks and guns on display outside, and Soviet Memorial and Cemetery behind. Very nice museum. It was very helpfull that there was english written also. Definatly see the movie available there fo 30 minutes. They dont take cards, only cash.
