Great community with free parking, great crown green bowling green and 3 hard tennis courts. Skate and good walks. Used this many years ago to exercise at school Great for kids to run about,or walk the dogs, basketball court and ramps, plenty of space.😄😄😄 On our visit today, more broken glass and more dog mess everywhere 😔😔😔 Great little park. Great for dog walks snd plenty of activities for kids, for football, skateboarding and tennis and close to the swimming pool. Don't bother Grassroots football match, good pitches. Dog walkers need to be reminded that the pitches are in use by kids, mess everywhere Lovely area. It's a shame when local (maybe) children just litter the and bins are available. No playground swings for young children or slide. It has a skateboard area and basketball area, a bowling green and x2 tennis courts that I understand you need to book via the council to use. Local football practice at the weekends. It's nice to see people using the area. Local dog walkers also present. I don't rate the well. There is no playground. Not enough benches to sit. There is a skate park, but often in the afternoons the crowd is not interesting and people are afraid to go there with their children. Tennis courts closed. In fact, there is nothing to do with children if they do not take their bicycles, scooters or ball from home. At the end of the park, at the school gate, it's always dirty. Garbage is everywhere. Wished I could be more enthusiastic about this place but unfortunately I only walk through it to get to another park. Adjacent to it is a large activity centre which I’ve only ever been in to have my covid vaccinations but it does look impressive if you’re a gym type person. It’s a green space in a drab area so for that alone it gets the thumbs up 👍 It's unsafe from 5pm with youths. As someone who lives local too the we don't go in after 4pm . Sad but it's run down and no safeguarding Great outdoor space. When the youth aren't trashing it.! Lovely place to pic nic in the summer 100% Well kept over the winter time. Used by regular walkers, runners and workout people. It's not great for dog walking. Broken glass almost everywhere. Afternoon and evenings can be get rowdy with teenagers, they can get destructive , burning waste bins, breaking leisure centre windows. Can be pleasant when there are no kids trashing the place.
