Spent some time touring this church while on a river cruise on the Seine. We learned there are several cathedral/churches in France named Notre Dame. This was located in Mantes-la-Jolie and our tour guide told us it is known as the “little sister” of Notre Dame in Paris. An amazing structure and will leave you in awe with its, size, ornateness and the fact that it was built many hundreds of years ago. Inside you will see some beautiful stained glass as well as a statue of Joan of Arc and plaques with the stations of the Via Dolorosa. We visited during the Holiday season so there were decorations for Christmas. We were also fortunate to visit on a day where a local school was having an event in the church and were able to enjoy some violin playing as well as singing; the acoustics were awesome. Would have liked to have spent more time there but because of the school event, we were limited. Definitely worth a visit!
