Not the biggest zoo but still many interesting animals, and the option to enter some enclosures and pet/feed the which is always fun 🙂 A lovely Animal Park with lots of interaction with the animals. There are play areas all around the park with lots of benches to sit on if you get tired. Very enjoyable for both young and old. There is a cafe to eat and drink something or you could take a picnic basket with and sit under the trees and enjoy a beautiful view. I would definitely recommend this. It is a really nice place to visit. We had a really good time with our dog there. The zoo is not huge but perfect for a 2-hour walk. There are many interesting animals. Some of them you can feed and/or pet. Monkeys had a blast watching our dog. Unique foresty zoo where you can walk among the deers and kangoroos. Overhead climbing ropes for Nasua (Nasenbären) are great. Bear in mind, many hide on a rainy cold weather so thats not the best time to visit. It is very nice, it is not so big, but there is a lot of different animals. You can also feed some of them, which is lovely. That’s the perfect zoo for the small kids: - you can interact and feed many of the there (not all) - you spend time in the shades of the trees - zoo is focused of giving the most of a small number of species vs. typically “academic”zoos “we have 12K species you mostly never heard of” - that’s the second zoo I know which you can visit with a dog - and there are a lot of dogs there The zoo was clean and well-kept. You could walk right into the enclosures of many animals, and there were free nuts to feed the porcupines. None of the were hiding, so it was a really nice day.
