Big shout out to all the staff at Paniewo Lock ! Beside the locks there are lots of beautiful things to see, especially during warmer months around sunset. The forest trails are well-marked and safe for push biking, short/ long forest walks, swiming, kayaking and etc. We have returned to the locks in winter 2022, The lock , Augustow Canal and conecting lakes were really beautiful when the water is frozen, the snow covered forest looks very nice, remote, silent, priestine with all the wild animals around.
