Butchery is amazing, pies, lasagne, salad tubs etc. Bakery also very good, selection of range is great. Certain foods average prices and other items maybe a bit more expensive. But, quality is at the front of it all. This a quality place for all shopping needs and their butchers dept is fantastic. A guy called eddie served me and his customer service skills and friendly manner were all 1st class Friendly, helpful staff and top quality meats and other products, can highly recommend 👌 Great butchers with friendly staff. Well worth the drive I don't live local. Their pies are delicious as is their meat and bakery products. The food in the cafe is delicious and well presented. Love the milkshakes 🥰 However on a subsequent visit I asked for Garlic chip with my burger and was charged an extra £1.20 for this only only a few chips actually had garlic on them -this was poor value. Despite living close to Jacksons, not being a big 'meat' eater, I don't visit often. I prepare Christmas dinner just for mum and myself, and normally get a small frozen turkey crown, and gammon joint from the local supermarket, however this year, the smallest I could find serves 6, far too big. Someone suggested Jacksons for what I needed but I was a bit skeptical, I shouldn't have been! I saw the perfect pack in the chiller section, cooked, sliced turkey & gammon with stuffing, the perfect size. Not only that, but the lady that served me gave me the most perfect 'heating' instructions on asking as I couldn't see anything written on the pack. Well, that's me finished with supermarkets, I also feel a bit smug supporting local. Well done Jacksons for remembering that not all Christmas dinners are made for huge families! EDIT Christmas dinner now eaten, simply delicious! Really tender & moist, if I'd been served this in a restaurant, I'd be really chuffed... I visited the shop on Saturday and I was so impressed with the quality of their lamb steak’s and rib steaks absolutely amazing and I was very impressed with the service I received at the counter with lots of information about how to cook them. Can’t wait to go back on Saturday again best meat I have ever eaten. 👌👌👌 Deborah you are a diamond ❤️ called in for the first time today with the Hubby and Inlaws. The food was amazing but Deborah made our visit special. Will definitely return. Recently visited the farm shop and left empty handed, this place has the worst layout of any shop I have ever been in. Endless queues of customers makes it very difficult to browse the products. I would sum up my visit as stressful and disorganised, won't be back.
