Belfast, United Kingdom Bowling alley

Great fun for a family day out ,food and drink can be bought on site but if it's not for you there's a McDonald's two minutes away This place isn't bad for a quick bit of family entertainment. For bowling, it's really the only place in North Belfast/Newtownabbey. As mentioned in other comments the place desperately needs updated or expanded with more arcade style machines and new bowling balls. The decor is late 90's. However the staff are very helpful. Prices are reasonable for what you get. It's nice to have a bowling alley on your doorstep. The place is clean and the lanes are good I only gave 4 stars as there isn't a great selection of bowling balls to choose from if you have chubby fingers. I'm not fat just big boned 😂 I existed a wait in the middle of a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly shirtless when i didn't have to wait, 2 games for 2 for £15 was also a great price, I had existed that to be a week day only offer. Overall excellent if only i could say the same about my skill level It was fun, small place packed with fun activities, enjoyed the day We went last weekend and the change machine ate our £20 note. So we went up to the desk looking for help and the lady supervisor didn't want to know about it. After some pestering from my partner she checked the machine but could not find £20 stuck. She was asked to check the CCTV and she refused. We had to fill out a form to request a check on the machine. At that stage I thought - fair enough. We heard nothing for a week then went up to ask for our money. The same lady showed my partner a form with a tenner attached and my partner objected and asked for the £20. The lady didn't want to know. She told my partner that someone had tried to ring her ten times and my partner showed her call log (again she didnt want to know) with no calls. So how does a machine take in £20 and end up only £10 up? Someone got a free £10 in change???? I don't think so. And I don't think this is the first time this has happened to a customer. And I know the supervisor behind the desk has a bad attitude to customer service from previous visits. We'll not be back - we'll stick to airtastic which is just down the road. Avoid. Really nice place to go after the recent revamp of the bowling facilities (completely new lanes, system, balls etc) along with a few other parts of the place. I’ve been coming here since I was a small child but I still find myself wanting to come here! Also staff are really sound!! Paid for what we thought was 2 games as agreed. However the game stopped after 57 minutes even though the girl behind the desk said we paid for an hour. Surely when playing with someone disabled there could have been an understanding to let us finish the game. After all we did choose 2 games rather than an hour. Clearly the staff put the wrong thing in the computer. Anyway, it's so outdated, lanes sticking ball dented etc. Will not be back, I would suggest going elsewhere.
