The memorial is dedicated to the fallen from the County of Antrim who fell in the Great War and also in remembrance to those who died in WW2. What a , we'll worth the trip Memorial to fallen soldiers, with an amazing Amazing Monument in a very fitting location. Amazing views, winds blow hard! There is no doubt this is a must visit on a day with good weather....views to Scotland and the Mourne Mountains are possible. There is parking available and it's worth grabbing a take away coffee on your way there so you can relax and take in the panoramic view. Great to see the of surrounds. Easy drive from Carrickfergus Have been coming to knockagh for many years and it’s great to see this monument look after. The from here on a clear day are breathtaking. My pictures don’t do it justice but I hope you do visit this place. I am part of a motorcycle group called Biking Adventures and routes Northern Ireland and we love to stop off and pay respects and enjoy the in places like this. The worth the drive. Gorgeous of Carrickfergus and the Sea.... beautiful sloping lawn for kiddies to play on (good for picnics), sheep grazing nearby - idyllic! Monument is impressive...all in all, time well spent. PS Good spot to pray at... Monument over looking Belfast Nice place to visit with family & friends. It's a war memorial place, very well kept. On a good sunny day, one can enjoy a beautiful panoramic over Carrickfergus, Belfast city and bay. There is a small free car park right beside the monument. Spectacular scenery throughout the approach and at the monument. Its an historic memorial with bird eye to Carrickfergus, Greenisland, Trooperslane & Jordanstown. Plan a visit on bright sunny day, but remember that its always so windy there, so come prepared. No food or cafe there, just a point. So peaceful. The are stunning. A wee bit windy but u are on top of Carrickfergus. The Knockagh Monument offers stunning panoramic over Belfast Lough and the surrounding countryside. It's a peaceful spot, perfect for a quiet walk or some reflection. While there's not much to do, sometimes all we need is to slow down and enjoy the moment. The monument itself is impressive and stands as a touching tribute to those who served. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and appreciate scenic viewpoints and history.
