Absolutely lovely place. Very warm and welcoming we went for steak night & bottle of wine to share. Very friendly and busy but not crammed, atmosphere and staff. Everything from pint to cocktails. I'll definitely be back. Atmosphere is awesome if you are looking for a small intimate irish pub (restaurant attached). Been many times but hard to beat the Guinness with the fire in the background. behind the bar too. Very very nice, very helpful. food and service. Atmosphere was so peaceful and perfect for a Sunday dinner. We had two kids and right away they were priority. Colouring pages and crayons delivered promptly and the food. Pints of Guinness in here are one of the best I've tasted. place all round. Hidden gem of you will. Absolutely amazing place, are very helpful and friendly food especially the Sunday roast is out of this world Cosy pub atmosphere and very tasty food. All good portions aswell! Definitely recommend Well as alot of reviews will clearly point out since this place came under new management or ownership its just completely fell apart. The food is over priced and extremely mediocre at best. Even above there is a £21 beef ragu with so little beef a vegan could enjoy it. The do their part, but again just seem unapologetic about the issues you try to address, I know there's nothing they can do about what comes out of the kitchen but hey ho. Shame, as this place was absolutely class 3/4 years back. Went for our wedding anniversary. Steak night Tuesday. Outstanding cosy spot for a Sunday roast. are friendly and provide efficient service. The food was delicious and theres a range of drinks. Some Halloween decorations at the entrance and round the parking area This is my favourite local bar for a good year now. Fantastic drinks selection and food options. Best spot for a sunny day with the outside seating, bonus points for the games they put outside - particularly the massive connect 4! The bar is also looking they’ve clearly invested a lot in updating the space. They also have the most extra Halloween decorations in Belfast that’s for sure. Exceptional I can’t believe this was our first time at this lovely bar/restaurant. It’s some h character and history all over the building with it being the oldest pub in Belfast. But aside from the venue itself the and food was absolutely amazing. Their beer garden is fantastic with lots for kids to play with also. We will definitely be back Nice food, nice friendly waitresses, but we had to keep leaving our table to go ask a waitress for condiments (ours were empty), desert menu, coffees, and various other bits & pieces. Not great, when every time one of us (we were 3) approached the bar area there were always 3 standing there talking when they should have been looking around at the diners to see if anyone needed attention. 👎 Went midweek for lunch. Lovely and quiet. My friend had the steak sandwich which looked incredible and I had the fish and chips. The chips were a little underdone but they rectified it with no hassle at all. Will definitely be back! food, atmosphere and of course our renowned Northern Irish hospitality. 24hrs later and I'm still thinking about the delicious roasties I had with my roast chicken dish as always everything was also superb and as always and professional friendly staff I'm not usually a dessert girl but the Banoofi pie was delish First time visiting here today, wife treated me for my birthday. As soon as we arrived the waitress took us straight to table, within minutes or ordering we had our starters. Hot wings were great, with was happy with her soup and wheaten. Dinner came and I didn’t know wether I was to climb it or eat it, roast beef, veg, mash, roasties and I’m going to assume homemade Yorkshire puddings, all were perfect. Nice, cosy and warm atmosphere, was extremely good, food was unreal. Price was reasonable particularly for portion sizes. Hats off to chef for such food ans waiting for service. Have eaten at this pub/restaurant on a few occasions and loved it........but unfortunately that was not the case last Saturday. Went with grandchildren for Halloween treat as decor is outstanding 👌 Food was appalling we ordered fish and chips ......when it came out it was miniscule all batter no fish and tasteless bone marrow burgers and chips burgers were dry and again tasteless. We would have been better ordering 5 childrens meals as the chicken strips and chips were larger portions and much tastier than the adult meals which were over priced and sadly very disappointing. I do hope the establishment takes on board recent criticism from loyal customers and takes steps to improve the quality of food in future as this is a beautiful and unique little country pub ......... Best ever! Broke down outside and they couldn’t have been nicer. Restaurant manager gave us a table in the restaurant (as my elderly mother wouldn’t have managed the bar) even though they were fully booked. The lady behind the bar was a mechanic and changed our tyre! Can’t imagine anywhere else that would have have gone out of their way so much! Special thanks to the for all their kindness. Brilliant experience from start to finish. High quality food at a reasonable price. Specials were delicious. Couldn’t ask for better service. Beautifully scenic restaurant.
