Am dormit pe 1 Decembrie acum 2 ani la Cabana Suru și am rămas plăcut impresionata. Trebuie sa aveți sac de dormit la voi, eu așa recomand, camerele sunt de mai multe persoane și exista și dus, nu cel mai luxos, dar macar exista. Atmosfera a fost foarte plăcută și ni s-a dat tort pentru ca era 1 Decembrie. Cabanierii ne-au cântat și au creat un loc foarte primitor și de neuitat. Drumul pana la cabana nu mi se pare solicitant și e plăcut. This place is a great find during a long hike. We walked along a 21 km circular route from Sebesu de Sus and Cabana Suru - a great place to relax and eat. Very nice hut at 1450m, very good bean soup, nice friendly people, call in advance for sleeping places, not very easy to reach, only by foot, the best route is red triangle starting down on Sebesu de Sus, but will take 3-4 hours to climb up to Suru hut In primul rând despre drum. Poti ajunge aici din Sebesul de sus pe valea Moasei, ori prin padure, traseul marcat cu triunghi rosu. Diferenta consta in frumusețea si accesibilitatea drumului. Pe valea Moasei poteca traverseaza apa in 6 locuri, nici unul amenajat cum trebuie. Daca ploua si este nivelul mare la apa, aproape sigur ai sa iei apa in bocanci. Si mai conteaza traseul, este foarte dificil, abrupt, cu greu gasesti crengi sau ceva de sa te tii sa nu cazi in prăpastie. Oricum , acest traseu te epuizeaza. Traseul prin padure, pe il gasesti la bifurcatie, unde se termina satul, are 80% aspect de plimbare prin parc, este superb. Cu 2-3 exceptii in se urca mai serios, drumul îți oferă satisfactia unei iesiri in natura, ai vrea sa nu sa se mai termine. Locuri de parcare sunt la discretie, eu am parcat linga o troita, aproape de bifurcație. La cabana este ok, poti manca iar cu 75 lei poti avea un pat pentru o noapte. O cabana cu rar găsești! Great place with wonderful hosts. The food here is great and they serve a good tea and hot wine! Prices are ok and the cabin is clean. Also you have a great view! Frumoasă cabană, condiții foarte plăcute de cazare, gazde ospitaliere, ne-am simțit foarte bine și ne-am distrat la game-boards-urile din dotare. Camere curate, căldură din plin, am dormit bine. Recomand cu drag! Nice and clean cabin! Very comfortable, with showers and inside toilet, which is quite rare in Fagarasi, more so, at such altitude. The food is good and plenty. I give only 4 stars because the cabin administrator is a bit off, trying to act all rough and demanding, but once you befriend him, he turns out to be a nice guy. I’ve been there on my all bike, and I guarantee that it is a great place for downhill and enduro rides! One of the nicest and cleanest cabins in the Fagras mountains and Romania. The food is amazing that only makes it worth the hike. Its a wild and beautiful area and its worth visiting in summer and in winter as well. The best accommodation during our Fagaras trek. Iolana is very kind and we really appreciate her efforts, positive mind and perfect of the house. The cabana is lovely clean and well maintained, shower available, fantastic food both for dinner and breakfast. The only shame was that we have to leave. Thank you very much! Little heaven on earth: in the middle of nature, silence and fresh air, best location to go hiking, skiing or running to the Suru peak and its surroundings, even to start/finish a Făgăraș crest tour. Cosy evenings, tidy rooms and common space, hot water (treasure on the mountain!), and the friendliest hosts who offer you the best food ever! Completely in love with this place 😊 The magical place! The hut is beautifully located with amazing view of both mountains and the valley. Especially during the night the view of Sibiu with all its lights is breath taking. You will get a warm welcome at Cabana Suru. A delicious hot meal and place to stay at one of four clean multi person rooms. Or, if you prefer, you can put your tent near the hut on a flat and grassy spot. Definitely a perfect place to start your journey through Făgăraș Mountains.
