Quintessential restaurant in the center of the Lourmarin village. The staff is super friendly and we're very kind to my family. They have chicken nuggets that my kids loved. The food was but you can't beat the atmosphere. A must visit if in the area - the place is the perfect spot for a quick or dinner with friends. Right on the tiny square, French dishes and prompt service. Their dessert selection changes regularly so you can explore and indulge in the local cuisine. Lovely cafe with a varied menu and a good choice of beers and wine. Plenty of seating in and outside. It is popular and does get busy. location for a nice while visiting Lourmarin. The staff was really friendly and we had a nice chat. You must try the Gaby salad! When I was in Lourmarin on business, my associate suggested we meet at Café Gaby the first morning I was there. It was fairly busy when I arrived and the locals greeted me with a 'bonjour' and a smile while the host made me a cappuccino. I ended up making this my 'go to' spot to begin every day during my stay - and actually made friends with another regular who brought his friendly puppy with him to the same table every day. My colleagues suggested we go there for lunch, so it became my home base and the food selection was plentiful and delicious. Amazing location, food and service. I echo all the other positive reviews and it’s definitely worth dining here when in the village. We had the and beef steak, both of which were excellent. The spritzers were well made and they weren’t shy with the portions! Steak Frites and the goat cheese were delicious, and the cheesecake after was excellent. With 2 glasses of local rose and 2 coffees, this was a for €50 We were searching for a place to eat on a Saturday giving the fact that it was late in the afternoon and as you know in France restaurants serve food till around 3-4 pm. The waiter from another restaurant in Loumarin recommended this local and it was really good. The food came quickly (that's a really good point) , the was amazing, the duck was juicy and the fries fresh, not dry. Usually we don't drink wine (sad I know) so for this part we can't give any help. As for the prices, you are in France's most beautiful villages, what do you expect? We paid 20 € for the duck and 15 € for the salad. We didn't need reservation. The waiters were really nice. Small restaurant with excellent service. I don't know if it's because it's a busy time of year, but the cleanliness of the bathroom could be improved, since there's only one and it's mixed-gender. We happened upon this cafe during a recent visit to Loumarin. The food was excellent and a value. My wife’s gnocchi was the star of the show. The Salade Niçoise was huge and delicious. Carpaccio was very good and fresh. Excellent cheese plate. This was such a wonderful place to have lunch. The staff was so kind in helping us to identify items on the menu and we enjoyed everything we preserved including the Gnocchi and Chicken Bruschetta. The homemade deserts were also incredible we had a warm chestnut cake and a caramel cheesecake. Cafe Gaby is situated on a picture perfect position in the village of Lourmarin. It’s a wonderful spot to watch the world go by. We came here for a drink and light dinner on our first evening in the village. Although the setting and atmosphere were great, the service and food didn’t quite match it. Wait staff were a little aloof and we didn’t receive the same level of warmth as other restaurants we visited during our stay. On the plus side, the salads and tartare were generous and reasonable for the price. Ordered the Niçoise and Farmer’s with a baby in tow. Attentive service.
