Pretty nice small modern with interesting and educational tour regarding the history of the and the area. It has balcons with beautiful panoramic view of the lake, good for bird watching. The entrance is not an expensive one. They make the most of what they have, which is basically almost nothing. Some of the interactive stuff is good, most didn't work. Looks like a typical Greek excuse for finding from the EU and money from school excursions job. Better than nothing if you know nothing and don't prefer to go out and walk instead of paying 4 euro. (Kids, elderlies and unemployed don't pay.) A nice small which has been built for 3 mio € given by the EU and Piraeus Bank in 2008. The explains how the Stymphalian was geologically created, how it became the source of living for the people living there and many animals, and what has to be done to keep this natural treasure for the generations to come. I especially liked the aquarium and the telescopes on the veranda to observe the and its birds. Excellent organized small with theme from local environment. A great balcony with panoramic view. In autumn the is dry, so is a great choice for paying a visit and spend some time. A small cafe and shop is also available. Interesting documenting the history of the place, geology and farming practices. I really enjoyed the exhibit. The is an interesting building architecturally which is set in a great place next to the lake. Lots of parking, a good WC and a small shop selling coffee. A definite must-see next time you're in the area! This offers a unique layout that I included a massive fish tank and displays of the area's agricultural, historical and environmental significance of the area. My kids loved the fish tank, massive outdoor deck overlooking the and gift shop. Will definitely return! Third visit. Always quiet here. Make sure to look in the shop for nice books or something else! Truly beautiful! It is always obvious when something has been created with a lot of effort. This is literally it. I can’t understand the negative reviews, I suspect that those commentators haven’t been to many museums around to compare with the average level of museums in Greece. Apart from the nice views to the Stymfalia lake, I think I haven’t seen such neat work before in a country museum. The exhibits were fascinating to observe. The audiovisual aids were very interesting and enlightening. The only disadvantage was the functionality of the binoculars, they should be replaced for sure. Overall though, a 10/10 experience.
