This monastic complex is situated at the highest altitude in Bucovina. There are two churches in the monastic complex. The big is on the low level of the complex. Here you will find a beautiful bizantine decorated and the miracle working Blessed Virgin Mary "Esfagmeni" Icon. This icon is a unique painting made in Athos and there are no other paintings of The Virgin Mary made this way. ( I would recommend doing a bit of research on Google before visiting so you know what to expect) The second is a smaller where the monks are doing the daily prayers. This is situated on a higher level in the complex and requires some stairs to climb. Near the small there are more stairs that lead to a huge Cross. This is called "The Cross Road" and along the road depicts icons and bizantine paintings of the Lord Jesus Christ from the road to Crucifixion. Also in the monastic complex the monks are offering accommodation for tourists and pilgrims. Here you can find rooms for 2-3 and probably 8 to 9 people, with breakfast and dinner for only 50RON. Every room has a private toilet with a shower and some of them even have a balcony with a splendid view. The road to the monastery is okay, accessible with a small vehicle. Along the road you will find two water springs with very good natural spring water.
