Astonishing viewpoint 5 minutes away for the "parking" Tricky to go there in winter, so better have a 4x4 with winter tires as we did First time to come in this place. From Asane to Osterøy would tale around 40 mins . It’s a one way driving to the parking. It’s Sunday so expected to be crowded. Down the lake you can sit on a log. But we didn’t take the other which mostly people walk with families and kids around here. So far this place was a gem to keep. We went for a surprise hiking without telling the kids as they are too lazy and whines about walking 😂 but they loved it and started challenging each other and we went only for zigzag path down to the lake and back to the car again. Amazing nature beautiful place and calm peaceful nature sounds. Kossdalen is best reached with a 3km hike from Hosanger, as there is limited at Svenheim. Apart from the scenic curvy road, you can experience plants and wildlife (like ravens and eagles), and peace and tranquility along the gravel road. The Kossdalen lake is clean, and is ideal for a swim, especially on a warm summers day. Very nice and scenic hike Nice walk track make it easy for family’s with young children in pushchair, gets very busy when it’s nice weather. Note: Not much space for cars at top of the windy path. A truly hidden gem near Bergen. Visited in July. There is a small lot near to the entrance. The drive towards this hiking place is equally beautiful but narrow.
