Popped in coming back from a hotel. Wife looked up local things to do. Spotted the BOP centre. So we went. Lovely place. Ran by a lovely lady. Does rescues on the birds. Ones that won't survive in the wild ( They just... Wouldn't know how ) Slow around. Loads of photos. But a photo doesn't do justice to how they are. ( I bagged a couple of feather packets. ) Well worth a visit Farm shop as you in. Battlefield Church is a short across a field. Lovely little set up. Small to medium size of pray. Worth a if you're in the area. All our questions were answered and other snippets of info too. When we first got there, the was friendly and helpful. You can pay cash or by card before entering. We were left to around on our own and enjoy the in their glory. All were visible and looked happy in their home. A lot of work going on to ensure the homes are reflected to their needs and an endless task for the and such a challenging yet satisfying task. Thank you for doing such a great job and allowing us the public to see these birds. This is a great place to visit. such a variety of birds, all very well looked after. The staff were fantastic and for a donation you can even hold some of the birds. Its a small business but the is a fantastic woman and my wife and i wish her all the best. This is 100% recommended. Tickets for adults is £5.50 each, apparently some people think this is excessive but we thought it was well worth the price. I cannot say enough about how good this is. Lovely woman, very knowledgeable, had amazing temperament and spectacular flights. For some reason the videos my partner took and sent aren't coming up in my camera roll to share but amazing highly rate it 💚 We did the - that is we got to hold some of prey and chat with the of the facility. She was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. Able to answer very specific questions and was very personable and friendly with her birds. We had questions about a lot of Canadian birds, as that's where we were visiting from and she was very excited to talk about the owls and falcons from that part of the world. We’ve had 2 owl experience’s now and enjoyed it each time, Lisa is very engaging with the audience and has a wealth of knowledge about the she cares for, highly recommended. We booked a personal with Lisa at the last minute. She readily accommodated and found for us the next day. Her enthusiasm for the was infectious and she readily shared knowledge and stories about her work. We had exposure to 4 different and we each took turns having them fly to us. It was a great I can’t enough. Book ahead. We’ve just come away from a lovely visit, and have spent 1-1.5 hours here. We read the reviews and knew to expect a fairly small set up. We have thoroughly enjoyed a more personalised with two members of staff, who are clearly very passionate about the welfare of the birds, and keen on providing a customer experience. It sounds as though there are plans to enhance the setup and we look forward to seeing the developments. We spent an unbelievable hour on a hawk with Lisa and Ivan, a harrier hawk who we will never forget. Lisa's passion for her is infectious and made for a truly memorable experience. We hope to return soon. Myself with family visited for the first today. The was there and happy to talk to us about the centre and the that live there. The whole we were there, she was busy caring for the birds, including a four week old kookaburra, that she is currently hand rearing. The centre is only small, so an hour was sufficient for our visit. The was informative and the all seemed happy and well cared for. We will definitely return again. Visited Sunday 15th Sept . Lovely place , staff very and very well cared for . Spent 1.5hrs handling and watching the fly . Great cafe on - site with delicious food . Well worth a . Highly recommend. Absolutely fantastic. Great way to spend a couple of hours. Small classroom for little ones to do some colouring and drawing. Birds are and the lady who runs it, is very and full of passion and care. Thank you👍 A group of us went to the Bird of Prey Centre yesterday. It was an excellent visit, Lisa is so enthusiastic and informative, a bargain at £12 ph for 14 of us. She brought 5 to fly for us and we all had a go with each one landing on the glove. All the looked so well and well cared for. Lisa went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time, lisa managed to book us in for a last minute and we got to handle 5 and have our own little private tour! We got to watch the being fed and we fell in love with pippin the little burrowing owl, Thankyou so much- will be back soon Such a wonderful experience. My children and my husband thoroughly enjoyed these birds. The lady was so informative and extremely kind. The passion she has for these gorgeous is very clear. I would recommend. 100% recommend, we visited today for a booked of prey handling and honesty can't enough. Lisa the is brilliant with her knowledge and very easy to chat with. The are all incredibly well looked after and honestly it was just overall a brilliant time. You can tell they really care about what they're doing. Well be booking in for the hawk next. I did the junior for my 5 year old. It was brilliant. Very informative but lots of interaction with the animals too. The falconry with an owl was perfect. My little one thought it was magical and was very excited about it for the rest of the day. Very reasonably priced in my opinion too. It's a little centre with some lovely to look around also. Well worth a any you're near battlefield. We came as a family for a private flying and had the best time. The boys were excitable but really well supported to take part safely with warmth and kindness. The were incredible and we just had the most lovely day (despite a furious Kookaburra not wanting to play ball). Couldn't highly enough. Will definitely come again some time. Thank you for your knowledge and for welcoming us. ❤️ Took some friends, who were visiting us, here yesterday. What a great place to spend a couple of hours. birds, all seemed exceptionally well cared for. The staff were very and happy to spend talking about the birds, while still feeding and carrying out cleaning etc. Didn't book an "experience session" as the trip was a spur of the moment thing but will definitely book it for next time. If you like of prey, put this on your bucket list and go see for yourself. Ian Fantastic place to visit, extremely and friendly. Shop/Cafe next door was superb and a great place for families to visit. We had a superb to the centre for a spot of Owl handling and flying. The owner, Lisa, is very informative and passionate about all of prey. Her enthusiasm and knowledge shone throughout the visit. She welcomed all questions and her friendly demeanor and expert team of Owls made for a rewarding and an unforgettable birthday present! The was set with an overview of the various within the Centre and a discussion about what we could expect and the care that had to be taken when being in contact with the Owls. We were joined on the pre-briefing by her expert assistant Little Pippin who is an amazing Burrowing Owl and a funny, endearing little character. Overall, everyone had a superb unforgettable day in a professional caring environment. We will definitely be returning!
