You can take a stroller, enjoy the views, learn some history... Fantastic location for a Fort, must see if you are a WW2 history buff. Make sure you come sometime between May and September as the landscape looks even better. Super greate place full of natural Birds and history :) This area can provide an interesting information about the Second World War. Nice valley to walk is available as well. Positives: it's a lovely place with great views, interesting history and the staff are friendly. Negatives: only one bus per day to get there from Bergen on Sunday, and one bus for the return. It's an entertaining bus trip. The signage is virtually only in Norwegian. The guided tour was in Norwegian only. We tried to find the pathway to the bird hide but it was not accessible from the museum. We saw people on the path but couldn't work out how they had got there. It's fascinating and there's lots of potential, but they make it hard to love! Wonderful area with WWII airport runway and other ruins, cafe, museum, and beach.
