A great spot for a leisurely which lovely views and plentiful spots for a picnic. is chargeable but unfortunately there’s minimal facilities provided as a result, not even a bin, but fortunately there are a good number dog bins around the actual and walk. A decent spot for a few hours out in good weather. Such a great place for a walk. There’s a couple of car parks one at each end of the walk, we tend to at the one between the two reservoirs where there’s toilets and a coffee/ice cream van. There’s decent and usually space, on New Year’s Day it’s very busy and you may need to wait or find somewhere else to park. The is great all nice paths and great scenery. Dogs love it and there is a spot where sheep are in the next field and some of the wall is low so worth keeping your dog on a lead around there if they’re likely to chase them. When you finish you can head back over the bridge back to the car or start the around swinsty which is just as nice but a bit smaller. Fascinating place to visit at the moment as the water is so low. Looks quite different. Helped that it was a beautiful sunny morning. Love how the path goes all the way around. (parts of which have been recently restored to very high standards) Dog friendly - we like it because our dog can be off lead most of the way round (I do put her on round on one section towards the south west part between blubberhouses and beecroft moor plantation because there are sheep in the fields there. This place is spectacular. Easy trail, excellent place for a run. The is surrounded by farm and woodland with trails in the woods as well. Lovely place to take dogs and kids. There are no facilities around this reservoir, but toilets are available close to Swinsty. If you want to have a picnic, you will need to go to the Swinsty reservoir, which is an easy from this reservoir. Beautiful peaceful place for at anytime of the year. Currently free (although this will change in 2023). Two walls together. 10.5km around both or 6.5km around Fewston and 5km around Swinsty. Yorkshire Water has improved access for wheel chairs around both and there are toilets at the car off the damn between the two of them. The other two car parks have no facilities. What a great and the views are amazing. It's a steady around the and takes a hour and a half depending on your pace. The paths are all stoned up and at certain points you do have to cross roads to get to the following path. There is ample places to your car and it feels safe to leave your car in the car parks. Lots of geese and swans on the so be sure to take some seed with you. Visited on a bank holiday Monday, nice and quiet, toilets and on site icecream vendors. There are plenty of benches or grassy areas for picnics. Plenty of parking. Easy, medium or long walks, wheel/push chair accessible paths are handy. Quiet, lovely to see full again, bonus of Yorkshire ice cream in car and loos open again. currently free, but looks like payment machines being installed in the summer. Lovely place for a walk. Lots of different routes to take, and nice views. Perfect for your dogs, and accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Beautiful walk, did it by accident, we meant to do swinsty as shorter but my 90 year old mum managed the 4.5 miles Beware of parking. We paid contactless, displayed ticket and came back within time slot. Few weeks later hit with a fee and they are making it very difficult to appeal even tho we still have the car ticket obtained by their machine and proof of payment on bank statement. Can't ring and can't email 😡 The area and itself is lovely hence the 4 stars. zero stars.
