I have been fortunate to go to many great restaurants in Mallorca, but this was my favorite. What separated this place from the others was the unique preparation of each dish. We shared 4 tapas and a salad. The ingredients in each were fresh and delicious. We had scallops which were amazing. The beef stroganoff was superb, and the chicken wings were crunchy and mouth watering, and had a sweet tasty glaze. The salad had the freshest tomatoes I've ever had along with the best goat cheese I ever tasted. We shared 3 different desserts including cheesecake, tiramisu, and brownie. All were incredible. Service was very friendly. You can't go wrong here. Unfortunately on our first attempt to dine at Contrabando on Sunday evening we didn't make reservations first. Fortunately Miguel recommended another restaurant up the street that was also very good. Tonight (Weds) we planned ahead and made reservations. We had delicious tapas and drinks while sitting out on the terrazzo. I highly recommend you go to Contrabando in Llucmajor! Came across this place accidentally and seen reviews so we stopped in after a long tour day . The waiter was friendly and nice . The steak with foei gras was amazing along with the steaks medium rare was so tasty , the shrimps was also good. wine and they even offered us 2 shots before we leave. Awesome place . It has the normal Spanish dishes but at the same time very different (and better). We went twice in the same week and ordered different dishes and everything was fantastic. Three courses : the first one where two sticks with liver , olives and a piece of chili . So far, so , but the second piece of liver was just a piece of yearn . Had it in my mouth for a while but nothing to swallow, nothing !! This is a problem of the chef, he has to see what he serves!!! The second dish was homemade pate from pig . It was very crumbly, they should have used more fat to make it some kind of creamy texture. The rest was okay. Very tasty food!! We enjoyed it so much we made reservations for our last night and called a day ahead to order the paella. Personable staff, excellent food, great experience. Highly recommend! Treated to a house almond liqueur at the end. Not too expensive either, would visit again next time! I came here for dinner alone on my first night in Majorca. The food was so that I came back three more times that week with my friend. The staff is super nice, and the owner, Miguel, is just the warmest guy. He rolls up his sleeves and works side by side with his staff to serve his customers the most delicious food. I highly recommend the goat cheese salad. The restaurant closes for the season November 15 and reopens in February. Get there soon, but make a reservation first! Amazing tapas, all made from scratch. Best croquetas I've had in a long time. The porc cheeks yummy. And the potatoes with garlic sauce, so good. Actually everything we had was just really tasty and delicious. We were here twice in 4 days so tried out a fair bit of dishes. The service is efficient and welcoming. We liked that it's an open kitchen and you can see the food being prepared. My absolute best recommendations. Penosa la atención del dueño... Tengo q decir q no fue así. Llegamos y dijimos q solo íbamos a tomar algo, si tenían sitio y nos sentaron en la barra . Al final picamos algo. Tenías una reserva de 3 en la barra, pasada 15 minutos de q esa gente no llegará, sentastes a otros. Hasta un camarero te dijo q estaba reservada. y despectivamente dijiste "ya se les pasó la hora", y sentaste a otros. Claro, al rato llegaron los clientes, y no tenías sitio. Nos ofreciste cambiarnos de mesa,y te dijimos sin problema. Te dije q te entendía q trabajaba en lo mismo, y me dijiste"si pero no sos la dueña", y yo te dije no lo sabes. Ese comentario me pareció de una persona un poco maleducada, diciéndome lo q soy o no soy. Hasta ahí nos íbamos a cambiar , pero dijiste que no tenía sillas la mesa. Y si ,me parece tremendo. Tú comentario principalmente. Y si te sienta mal, lo siento la verdad. Pero me fui a tomar una cerveza, y no pudimos estar tranquilas y encima aguantar tu comentario...desafortunado. no sabes que tengo, o q tuve. Te voy a poner un 3 ahora. Para q no te duela tanto. Das Contrabando ist ein echtes Highlight in Llucmajor. Vom freundlichen, aufmerksamen Service über das unglaublich feine Essen bis hin zum stimmungsvollen Ambiente stimmt hier einfach alles.
