Cala Agulla es una de las más bonitas playas de la isla de Mallorca. De arena blanca y fina, aguas trasparentes y generalmente tranquilas, que como es de sentido común merecen un respeto cuando están embravecidas. Muy frecuentada en verano, como es normal, para poder disfrutar de su paisaje natural y de sus aguas cristalinas. Cuenta con todo tipo de servicios en verano. En otras épocas, no tiene tanta afluencia de visitantes y adquiere su estado más natural y salvaje. Cuenta con una buena planta hotelera y residencias privadas en la zona urbanizada. Se encuentra en un ANEI, Área Natural de Especial Interés, declarada así desde 1991, por el Parlament de Les Illes Balears, está integrada en la Red Europea de espacios protegidos. Forma parte del Parque Natural de la Península de Llevant. Requiere de protección máxima por su alto valor paisajístico, cuidando así de su sostenibilidad. Hay cartelería en la zona que informa adecuadamente a los visitantes del alto valor ecológico de la zona. La playa de unos quinientos metros de longitud, está acompañada de un hermoso y denso pinar, muy propio de la costa mallorquina y mediterránea. If you want to enjoy the simulation of oil tanker catastrophe and swim in murky black full of rotting algae/dead seagrass, stinky sulphuric air - go there. Otherwise please do not go there unless the locals learn to clean beaches. In sea, the seagrass is part of an important ecosystem, but rotting at the beach, infinitely washed out/in during low/high tide? There are restaurants and bars there and the was crowded. Our main purpose of the visit was to snorkle and we swam at the rock formations nearest to the village. It was quite shallow, but we enjoyed it anyway. There was a nice reef with various fish. It was easy to find at the payed lot near by. Long shallow areas with calm for kids to play safely, but after a short walk/swim it also goes deep enough (>8meters as far as I could see) for grown-ups to enjoy snorkeling/freedive. Plenty of fish next to the Rocky areas and it was safe to take my kids for a snorkeling session across all that side wall of the bay. Plenty of available and walk from to is short. Small beach, but nice looking. got deep faster than on other beaches so we had less space to enjoy shallow waters. We got there early (~10 am) and there werent many people bit more and more people came and it got a bit crowded, but it was still enjoyable. On the side of the where there were rocks was a good snorkeling location. There was too but we went with bus (where the ac was in a bit overdrive). After the bus google maps suggested to follow the road but you can actually cut through the forest easily. Sunbeds are available for rent with shades and safe deposit boxes. Huge beach, lots of sunbeds (19,50 for two beds and a parasol per day use with a locker) and a few bars selling drinks, cocktails and sandwiches. Hermosa playa, agua cristalina After reading many of the reviews, we decided to come to the beach. At 4 in the afternoon we didnt experience any long waiting times to get to parking. The was full but that's normal in the season, it was much better than Es Trenc. The is super nice and shallow, which was perfect for my older mother ;) Wunderschön..
