Today we went to visit a located in the south of the island of Crete, Paralia Mirtos beach. From Stalida, where we are staying, it was a journey of about 80 km, about an hour and a half. A number of parking spaces are available in the Mirtos village area, near the area. The is not very friendly, it has volcanic black sand with pebbles, there are also stones in the and it deepens quickly, so it is not recommended for small children. The is quite large and there are areas set up with umbrellas and sunbeds. Where we sat, only the consumption was paid. We walked up past all the parasols, found a tree for some shade and had a huge bit of to ourselves. Lovely sandy and reasonable snorkelling with some great little restaurants and bars right on the beach. Fantastic day for the whole family. El camino hasta la playa un poco angosto, pero vale la pena!! Idílico lugar!! Sind auf den Strand ausgewichen weil unser Hotelstrand leider von sehr starkem böigem Wind heimgesucht wurde wo an entspannen nicht mehr zu denken war. Der Strand ist sehr schön und es gab da wo wir waren eine Dusche und eine Umkleide. 2 liegen plus Schirm kosteten 10€ vollkommen ok fanden wir. Beim schnorcheln haben wir auch ein paar Fische entdeckt. Cute place to hang out and swim and eat Sand may not be all golden, but the views and are amazing.
