Having recently moved to the area, I wasn’t expecting to find a cafe like this anywhere in close proximity to my house. Brad is not known for its restaurant and cafe culture, not like Cluj or Timisoara or Sibiu or even Deva (where more of these cafes are popping up). So imagine my surprised glee when I saw this place round the corner from my favourite bakery. It’s a shop through and through with a cute little indoor cafe area, just big enough to walk into and have a seat in the corner. Theres a bench and beanbags outside too giving off a very clear vibe. The owner i assume is a cat-lover with old authentic metal plates of humorous and entertaining cat-loving-coffee anecdotes. I’m baffled by how they even collected them. I was served, I think by the owner, Kanela (I assume) but I’m not sure – she had a quiet confidence about her, one possessed by a proud publican. And so she should be. I ordered my barometer a.k.a. a flat white with oat milk WHICH THEY HAD! Yay! It was fantastic and definitely made by someone who knows coffee. Strong taste without being burnt, perfect amount of milk, nice foam and some latte art skills for the finishing touch. The beans they use are more rounded and mellow than citrus and sour which I like. If the flat whites are good, everything is good. They do charge a little extra for alternative “milks“, but actually, I’m happy about that. This ridiculous discrimination lawsuit that was won in America, thankfully, hasn’t escaped its farcical borders. Location is also sitting just opposite the park and like I said just a short ways down from the bakery. Highly recommend for ALL lovers; pretentious, ignorant or otherwise. 😊👍🏻 A cozy little gem in Brad! Kanela Speciality serves truly delicious in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The space is small but charming, perfect for a quiet break. The barista is outstanding—friendly, talented, and clearly passionate about coffee. A must-visit spot if you’re anywhere near Brad! The most amazing selection of coffee. Run by with a passion for what they do with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. An absolute must if you are in Brad and real fan. Highly recommended.
