Nice beach! Clean and 'warm' water, but a lot of jellyfish (not the ones that burn, fortunately). The place is very well structured (parking for cars and bikes, restaurant, café, places to sit in the pier, and toilets), and seems to be very for kids since the is shallow and calm! Not surprisingly, can be crowded on a summer day. I went there by bike from central Gothenburg, and the bike path is really and beautiful in some parts :) Nice place to hangout with family and friends. You can swim, having big parking place. Small place that explains everything abt the environment for kids and adults Beautiful spot with very shallow waters for kids and adults to dip in and explore small sea critters and splash around. Honestly one of the best beaches I' ve been to. It is a large spacious sand but rocks are available for people who prefer that. The is shallow in the beginning which is perfect for kids but becomes deeper as you go which is for adults. There are many places and alternatives for sunbathing. Facilities like toilets, changing rooms and showrs are clean and good. Some plants are present at the shore but as you go into thewater, the is clear and very nice especially on a hot sunny day. There is a volleyball court and a playground for kids. Many benches to sit down. There is possibility to grill. I recommend. Would definitely go again. It wasn't dirty or bad like the other reviews said but maybe it's just the day I was there. It is also close to the city centre. Only approximately 30 minutes. Nice place to enjoy view and swim. Water goes deep gradually. Amazing beach. The largest stretch of sand I have seen so far in Sweden. And not very far from Gothenburg l, very well connected. This place will be amazing during Summer I presume. A must go of you are a visitor and even more so in Summer. A picturesque with glassy water. Kids safe. Windy enough for wing surfing. Has picnic and barbecue spots as well. Crowded during summer and sunny days and also has slushies and ice cream vans. During winter there's just a cafe. Askimbadet is a bathing place that I like to visit when I come to Askim! Plenty of space, full of peace and easy to find a private place. kiosk and new from this year minigolf course, toilets are available and changing rooms. It is excellent for running, walks along the water. Highly recommended if you like sun and swimming, barbecue areas are available if you bring your own food. Pros: shallow water, which is kid friendly Nice wooden jetty with plenty of seats for lying down or sitting on, playground nearby with bathrooms Cons: Sand/beach area feels dirty, and there are a lot of Canadian Geese which come with plenty of bird 💩. Perfect day trip Super nice place in general, nice bridge, and always steaming with people. However, not the best quality in town. If u go here, keep an eye open for the flay, if it's green, the is good, if it's yellow, it's recommended not to swim if you're sensitive to bacterias, and if it's red it's a warning, do not swim. Beautiful and surrounding area. Shallow and enough space to have a picnic. The sand is hard so take a cushiony blanket. Great low key place for a walk by the water. Huge grass place great to let the dog roam with other friendly dogs.
