Great course, quite difficult (especially if not played it before). A number of holes require accuracy off the tee. A big drive not always helpful on some holes. Definitely interesting & looked great on a sunny day. Most greens pretty good condition, bunkers plenty of sand. Clubhouse wasn't open when we played, think only open towards end of week & weekend. Great challenging course and in fantastic condition, get down and play. Thanks to all the staff for the welcome. This was a last minute stop, and wow, what a fantastic golf course. The layout is just wonderful , a good test of golfing skills not too long but lots of visual changes , elevation changes for the price at the time of day £15, it played well. The greens are a bit slow, maybe just late afternoon greens . It was such an enjoyable round of golf a must play if you are in the area of New lanark. Fantastic municipal course ..better than some private ones ..give it a try ..staff very friendly and food is lovely and great prices.. Loved it . Would recommend it..and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Food is excellent. And prices..get yourself a round .. Highly recommended and great food Using daughter’s account for this review!!! Visited Hollandbush G.C, on Saturday 26/4/2025, with our golf section Edinburgh West G.S. We were met by the Ladies captain Mags, and we couldn’t have been looked after any better, her banter was absolutely spot on. The course, in my view was a hidden gem, a testing course and extremely well looked after, and our thoughts were, how good would it be in Summertime. We took the full food package and played 2 rounds, value for money as the food during breakfast, lunch and dinner, was spot on. After our second round, were changed ready for something to eat, and Mags gives us all course ball markers, lovely touch, also on top of that, she gave us prizes for our presentation. The best rating I can give, is that we shall be back next year👍 Plus Mags you were fabulous 11/10, if not more👌 Yet again another fantastic PTA lunch for the P7 leavers from Coalburn Primary School....can't thank Mags, Karen and Peter enough. 1st class!!!
