We come here to the dog an awful lot. It’s really nice, with some stunning views. Love here, plenty for kids to do, also easy access if you have a disability. Lovely place for a picnic💞 Beautiful place to visit for walking having food and drinks at the inn so scenic and peaceful dog walkers and kids too The local wildlife is amazing, but is being harmed by idiots who bring bread to feed it, despite the numerous signs that state to not do so in large letters. I guess these folk don't care about the fact that they're killing wildlife and teaching their kids to do the same... Lovely place to go for a walk, lots of wildlife, especially just now with the goslings and ducklings! Lovely place to stop and take a break the dog. Cafe and pub but not tried them. It's ok for a casual stroll round the loch. Otherwise, it is tired, overgrown and run down. This applies particularly to the facilities like the play equipment. It just feels unloved and neglected and could do with a complete make over. Absolutely stunning views. There's also a playground for kids. Live local. Favourite walk. A tranquil spot in Lanark with easy access to parking direct from Hyndford Road - there is also easy access, by path, from parking at the nearby racecourse. There are children’s play equipment and there is always lots of nature to see and in particular swans. There are plenty of grassy areas and benches to picnic located around the loch and from approximately April to September there are also some activities available, tickets for which can be purchased from the kiosk and usually there are a selection of ice creams and soft drinks on sale. There are also public toilets located here and when these are closed the adjacent Inn at the Loch is thee ideal place for refreshments and a comfort break. Fishing for carp is available, but a permit must the purchased in advance. Lovely place to take the kids play park and lovely around the loch Beautiful park, family friendly, playgrounds for younger and older children, multi-user path all the way round the Loch, with additional paths into the woods and to Lanark Moor cycle trail. The Inn on The Loch bar restaurant is by the car park with views of the Loch. Menu looks great. Great time of year to see the ducklings, cygnets and goslings.
