Good machines but having the weight machines in the centre and all the bikes and treadmills facing in is a bit off putting for someone just starting and maybe paranoid of people watching them. Too much like a goldfish bowl I only go to use the studio for a class. Seems a decent gym. It's nice and clean Really miss the and saunas though. Have started using the gym, and all is good. Good choice of equipment but the building itself is in dire need of maintenance. Neglected by the council. Staff are all very helpful. We are actually charging here at the moment, at a steady 48kW, and the review request has just come through! Have used this one before with our Chargeplace Scotland RFID card. Charger is easy to use and has been reliable so far. There's one rapid charger with CCS and Chademo and a further nine fast chargers, one of which is occupied. Nice spacious location, no facilities but shops nearby. Excellent gym facility and friendly staff. Changing facilities are good but frankly not clean enough. Often go in here in mornings and usually littered with empty bottles and tissues. As for the weekends, well no cleaner on duty, always filthy, especially the toilets. When I complained I was told that cleaners rota is to clean health suite before gym changing facility. Bizarre, as gym opens at 6 and heath suite a couple of hours later. We had our 8 month old son and made the effort to drive out here as the hamilton baths shut for an hour. Had a positive first impression entering the building and even pointed out there was breastfeeding friendly stickers , positive quotes on the wall and outside the building there was a poster of someone swimming and a flume ride on another poster. Clearly says aquatec on the building in large bold letters. When we asked if we could go swimming the lady at reception said there was no and that there hadn't been one for 6 years. Made us feel like idiots and not being from the area we didn't know this. They should be encouraging healthy lifestyles for families, its not hard to pull down a poster.... Do better north lanarkshire council. I think that they should remove the word Aqua from the name along with the pictures of a swimming and the phrase "family friendly " since there's no and nothing for kids Horrible. It's ridiculous. 1. Lockers and changing rooms are ridiculous they are a mess and horrible 2. The let in time is so stupid. They let in loads of people around 30/40, then expects us to get out all all the the same time with only 4 Showers. And only let's you swim around 1 hour. 3. You have clearly advertised your making it seem like there is plenty of things to play with.; there is only a whirlpool and one slide. The children's area is even more ridiculous. Not even worth bring my cousins here. 4. The tiles really horrible. Swimming around in the whirlpool. The sand and grit that was gathered at the bottom is insane. I could not believe it. 5. The water was freezing. I understand to some degree. The water has to be at a certain tempeture. But even in the jacuzzi pool, the water was the same temperature. If not worse. 6. It is clear that there is not enough lifeguards on duty. As I'm skiing around. One lifeguard is trying to cover 3 areas. 7 Not to mention that the lockers don't even give you the money back and the changing rooms are a size of a small square box I seen this place get advertised, after its refurbishment, it looked amazing. But I will never be returning again. Extremely disappointed.
