First time here and it is and airy inside.Holly our waitress was really and helpful. We had chicken and rice soup however had to send it back as not hot enough. It came back piping hot with bread and was lovely. Mum had a cake and tea. Nice ambience and as shop.Countryfied grounds. We will go back and recommend. TLDR: We've been here multiple times for breakfast, the quality of the food is excellent and consistent. The are lovely, and helpful. Indoor and semi-outdoor seating. with excellent produce. We've been here quite a few times now for and have tried many of the options and we're never disappointed. The quality of the food is excellent and it's always beautifully cooked. Our favorites include the full breakfasts and the variations of eggs benedict. Perfection is in the eye of the beholder, luckily, these guys seem to be able to cater for all beholders. One thing that I harp on about most is consistency, and how many places are for a bit then just tail off. That's not the case here, every time we've been back, we've been delighted all over again. The has been given a lot of love and attention, with the buildings being renovated and expanded (not hindering the every day business). It's very clean and has a cosy farm-shop style vibe with neat paraphernalia hanging from the walls. The offers some produce, we can recommend the bacon and any of the wagyu products, they're amazing. You'll also find all kinds of Scottish trinkets and gifts including, ales and preserves. Of course, the are and welcoming and always greet you with a smile. We enjoyed our lunch at Greenhall. It's a nice setting with the cute alpacas in view. were nice and friendly, and the food was good. The is lovely, with lots of craft and local produce. The only criticism is that the menu is a bit bland, with what is basically pub food: breakfast, burger, pie, baguette, chicken goujons, etc. Given the Wagyu meat and the twist, it seems a missed opportunity not to have a more special selection of courses. country and shop. Loved seeing the Alpacas out in farm. Was very busy so recommend booking, especially at weekend. We wagu beef lasagne, full breakfast, macaroni cheese which was GF gammon and eggs was all delicious. Had dessert too ❤️ Staff were lovely, so and helpful. Went to which is packed with mainly Scottish goodies, treats, and gin, cider etc Loved it. Ps there's a Rhino outside too. 😍 Food here was good, fresh and flavourful. Beef Lasagne was tasty, chopped salad fresh and my partners ’All Day Breakfast’ was good. It’s what you’d expect in a cafe. We sat in the undercover area with our dog at lunchtime, on a warm and sunny day. Staff were and helpful in the cafe, service was quick for a busy lunchtime, but this place is full of ‘contradictions’… To start, there’s a passive aggressive notice saying “dogs will be banned if owners can’t pick up their dogs’ poo” - not a first impression? See photo. When we asked for a bowl of water for our dog, the waitress told us “environmental health won’t let us bring you one, for ‘health and safety reasons’ but there’s a tap outside and bowls are positioned everywhere” - so we organised a bowl of water for our dog from the tap whilst we waited for the food order. The times when dogs are allowed inside the main are clearly displayed on notices, yet it seems exceptions are made outside of those times as a table (with a dog) being seated across from us said they “wanted to be inside” so they were seated inside. Even though Saturday isn’t one of the days listed as ‘dog friendly’? The menu says order and pay at the table, but we were asked to pay at the till inside, a different waitress was delivering a bowl of water to the table for the people with the dog! When in the all of the fridges with food displays have signs stating ‘do not open, please ask for assistance’ - all of them. So, I stood at the till behind another customer who was paying waiting my turn with a list in my head, but the woman at the till ignored me, picked up her mobile phone, started talking to whoever called, asking “don’t you have the number for the cafe?”, she blanked me completely and walked off into the cafe! I waited for a moment, but found myself questioning why I was spending both my time and money in a place where the service is so poor? Decided to spend both elsewhere! Whilst looking for my partner and the dog (dogs are not allowed in the shop, understandable, as they sell food as well as gift items) I noticed lots of debris/untidiness in the outside areas, see photo - certainly not a lasting impression either? To summarise - We won’t be returning! Food was good, but we were left with a sense of ‘dog tolerance’ not friendliness, plus total contradictions and confusion as the didn’t seem to have any consistency and the woman in the was just downright rude! Made an impromptu stop here while out on the motorbike and it was definitely the right choice. Spent some time chilling with the alpacas and goats before heading in for food and coffee. The food was very well made, tasted wonderful and the portions were very for the price. The coffees were also perfect. Staff were very and the service was quick. The itself is very cozy and joined onto a full of cool gifts and alcohol. A very warm welcome from all staff.. The food was amazing and all freshly cooked to order. The service was great; the and chatty but also efficient. All-in-all a afternoon. I'd been a few times before but it was my husband's first visit but not his last! Well done all round! Lovely on site with lots of foods and locally sourced gifts available... Best to book in advance especially around peak lunch times... lunch. Maybe not a lot of choice for vegetarians. Nice setting and shop. Visited on a day out with my Mum. We chose it based on reviews, and we weren't disappointed. very welcoming, choice of food, and so pleased to see a separate menu for GF options. Super stocked with quality products. We didn't book, as wasn't sure when we'd get there, and were lucky to get a table. Absolutely stunning little place. The food was delicious and there were so many options it was hard to choose. It’s decorated beautifully, nice and cosy feel to it. The were lovely. Plenty of parking and a cute wee shop. Walk outside and you are met with animal. I had a afternoon thanks to the people at Greenhall cafe. I highly recommend. I’ll be back again soon 😊 Fabulous scallops and steaks. Scallops were beautiful, and plentiful. I had the ribeye waygu which was sensational, very tasty, cut like butter, best I've ever had. My partner had the Aberdeen Angus fillet and said that was also. We had an amuse bouche also which was delicious, stewing in gravy in a mini yorkshire pudding. Would highly recommend The was busier than we had expected, fortunately we had booked a table ( very straight forward on line). I'm coeliac so was impressed with the choice on offer. Time from sitting down to getting the menu was slowish. All together a very experience. Visited for my daughter’s birthday - was delicious. My son and I had Eggs Hebridean - haggis was amazing. My daughter had the pancake stack - it was big portion - she couldn’t finish it. and service. Would definitely return . 👍 Fab, quality food served in a countryside cafe. Amazing sausages made with Wagyu beef from their farm. My full Scottish was one of the best I’ve tasted anywhere. Fab menu, service and tasty food….all in a location. What’s not to like? Also has a wee shop. We sat in the outside terrace giving a view of the alpacas & goats. food, love the new online booking system so quick & easy. Really nothing but things to say about this fab wee place. too happy days 😊 We absolutely love Greenhall Cafe! We normally come first thing in the morning, but we came for lunch this time. Place was packed, but everything was super well managed. The couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. Willie in particular was and still made time to chat. I got the ham and eggs and the portion size was huge! value for money and so tasty. My boyfriend got the pie and we have never seen a pie so packed with meat. Literally never had a bad experience here yet. Thank you Greenhall :) Brilliant as always. Service was top class even though the were run off their feet. The food was delicious and they were attentive and accommodating to my 2 year old. Can't wait to go back again. Food fabulous. Had the calamari to start then the mixed grill. All cooked to perfection. One comment i would make and this is a personal choice, the chips were frites, would have been nice if there was an option to have thick cut chips.
