I give this place 5 stars for the clean, well-organised shop with hundreds of freshwater and marine species to choose from, and some excellent deals on aquarium packages. More importantly, I give the staff 6 stars for being knowledgeable, helpful, and just all-around super guys. I went to Maidenhead in Houghton Hall and explained to them to them that I wanted to set up a large Southeast Asian stream aquarium based on a stream in Thailand that I used to snorkel in. They put together an awesome package deal on a 340 litre tank and cabinet, filter, lights, and other necessities. Over the next month, I aquascaped the tank and allowed it to cycle. I finally have it fully planted and stocked and looking fabulous! Thanks so much, guys! Sorry looking pond plants and absolutely PILES of uneaten food just sat at the bottom of their pond tanks. Also extremely overpriced bettas £59?! For a gold betta! Seen them elsewhere for way cheaper Excellent staff, nothing is too much trouble and they can order in anything that you want and they don't have. Beautiful selection of stock, a few oddballs and large trade in fish. Reasonable prices for a Maidenhead too! Love this place. Got my latest batch of tropical here, after quite a few recommendations of where to buy and anything aquatic for what I need as in a smaller tank but they do loads of different cold water, tropical and massive tanks for bigger Bought two marine from them that was new in we put them in the tank and next day they had ich and the angel also had a parasite that killed it off and also took out our regal angel with the same parasite. When we went back in to explain 4 days after we found they had white spot they basically said it’s not there problem and refused to accept any responsibility. Very friendly staff, excellent choice of fair price will definitely go again Laice served me some discus last week and she was brilliant, very polite and helpful taking time to chose the best for me.
