Just spent 4 days at this Excellent Scottish fishery, owners really friendly & will always try to help you, but at the end of the day if you don't keep trying because the are there in large quantities. Not just a puddle plenty of choice of to catch. Toilets on site & well stocked tackle shop, rules are straight forward to follow so respect the owners & adhere to them. Great 3 day stay at Broom Fisheries. Our group of 4 stated in the Elm holiday home which was very clean and came with all the necessities. The was also great. Although we had some quite hours, overall we around 60 between us with a few personal bests. Heaviest was 5.9lbs, however we seen others catching much bigger. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning. Had an excellent stay here in a pod for 2 nights. We a lot of fish, mainly and we broke our pb's time and time again. Our pod had it's own water and we did not have to with the professionals or wait until a match was over. We enjoyed watching the end of a match on our first day there, but quickly got up in our own fishing. Toilets were clean and functional. Only disadvantage was that as my partner cannot walk far due to his disabilities the toilets were a bit far for him to walk to. Our only suggestion would be a toilet block nearer to the pods. We will definitely be going again but may take our portable toilet with us, if it is allowed, which I think it should be as there are caravans on site. Annan is only 2.5 miles away if you need food or toiletries. The tackle shop on site had a wide variety of equipment, hooks, lines and feeders along with different kinds of baits. The banoffee sweet corn was a big hit with the carp. what a wonderful place to this is how all fisheries should be no matter if your a beginner or experienced fisherman all get treated as equals keep up the good work 👍🎣🐟 quick update a year on i the exact same 2oz heavier looked like it aint been for a long time its got same scar on left so ive now got a pic of its better side as i never did last year i think ill have to name this scarfish wht a great condition fought very hard on light tackle think ill beef it up next time as they do fight hard here. 2025 update just to let everyone know John and carole have added new to muirbeck mirrors in 20s and 30 and as John said might even be a 40lb in there a 29lb come out end of April 2025 and was one of the older which people thought had died as it hast been for ages so shows there's some massive to I've added some pics from my recent trips and not hit the big ones yet but there are starting to hit the bait hard be prepared these even the smaller ones fight insanely hard it's now a member water so get on it before all spaces are gone if ill add more pics if you go on Facebook which I don't use they have pics of some of the bigger tht some lucky anglers have 🤞ill join the club soon👍update may 11th 2025 just doing a 3 day trip and hooked in to this beast 20lb 5oz new pb at 6am proof tht there's some lovely in here and worst thing is theres higher 20s 30s and might even be a 40 but we need more people to get on here and see if we can them hope this helps if ya fancy joining get on it there starting to feed look at its belly added a couple more beauty's from Broom fight like crazy you been warned ⚠️ Best trip in years, several double figures carp, some around 4-6 lb, decent chub, roach and bream. Staying in a pod meant I had the choice of lakes/pegs. Fished Bruce's Acre Day 1, Armstrong Day 2. Really hard fighting in both lakes. Definitely would go back again. The warm welcome from Carol on arrival was appreciated. Lovely venue, lakes, and people. Just had a great weekend at Broom Fisheries. Campsite and were excellent. a massive and loads of others. Well stocked tackle shop with friendly helpful staff. We'll be back. Had our first visit here yesterday. First time at a fishery and both myself and my son were pretty novice to course fishing. The lady who helped us was so friendly, helpful and kind. Put us both at complete ease, gave us great advice, all of which led to a 4lb for my son! His first fresh water fish, he was over the moon! Perch and Bream then followed; all ending in 4 more towards the end of our only four hour session. It's a beautiful place and exactly what we had hoped course would offer us. He is already working out how long he has to save his pocket money to buy a rod. We'll be back! This was my favourite site on our recent campervan holiday. I’m not a fisher, but I really loved the setting with nature all around me. It was great to meet the very friendly owner. We shall be back.
