Lovely pub overlooking the fields-decent sized menu to suit most tastes. Not overly priced-with good sized portions ! Staff lovely -genuine -couldn't do enough for you. Didn't book -but they had some spare table available-but if it's a night time around the popular tines ,it may be advisable. Nice atmosphere in the pub -but not too loud . Happy to recommend. The pub itself has a friendly, vibrant atmosphere. Staff were very obliging and welcoming. My food, however, was very disappointing. I’d ordered cauliflower fritters which were supposed to be accompanied by mushy peas and chunky chips. When it arrived, it came with garden peas and frozen chips which were dry. The fritters were chunks of cauliflower in batter which were hard. Overall, the meal was dry and tasteless. Best Sunday roast ever! I also had arancini (which was amazing) and a homemade brownie. The quality of food here is really outstanding and for a really good price. We just wait a little longer for our plates, but not a problem as food was very good. I wish it was closer home, I would go often.
