We visited Lonsingen and some friends recommended this restaurant with an attached butcher to us. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambiance was classic with a warm charm and the service as freindly and welcoming as your grandmother's kitchen. Our server was extremely curteous, recommending drinks and dishes that were spot on. I highly recommend the bison steak or jager sauce pork loin, especially with the fried potatoes. Our server recommended a special Weissbier made by Berg that was also exceptional. Very hands on people. Love the service and the quality of food. Food was well prepared with adequate portions and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Wonderful lovely food. It is not luxurious but fits quite well into the Style of the Swabian Alb. I would recommend it! It is a wonderful place to go a good meal that does not rob the wallet. Not only does one have a great restaurant, the food is fresh. I say that because the restaurant is attached to a butcher market. The butcher owns the store and the family runs the restaurant I have eaten there three times and have never been disappointed. Folks come from all over Germany to eat there.
