To start this route, you need to go to the town of Bercenillas. From there until you reach the with a good rhythm it’s about 40 minutes. It’s a very easy trail. You can take your kids or dogs with you. Even during the summertime, there’s a lot of water in the and rivers. Once you reach the sign post that’s giving information about the (but not showing which direction to go), you better go to the right, descending. If you take the left route, you’ll keep climbing up, but at the very end of the road, there is no path to take you to the waterfalls. You can barely find a path to reach the once you climb all the way up (unless you go back to the sign post), you’ll have to go through bushes and it’s not a very nice trail. So at the sign post, take a right and go down until you reach the river, then follow it up till you see various waterfalls. Definitely worth it. Lovely place with beautiful colours. Great family hike Nice hike, but not suited for Flipflops!!! Nice easy good hikes This is not an easy place to get too. Very narrow natural roads, steep parts for getting a car. We were unable to find the after following maps. We did follow a sign that lead us to a small stream. In my opinion not really worth the journey or burning the rubber off my tyres. I loved the trip through beautiful countryside. Do take good footwear, since it can be muddy and there are a couple of rivers that need to be cross skipping between rocks. Went with a 6, 7 and 9 year old and they all coped well with the aproximately 3.5 km walk. Remember to bring your trash back with you. There is no picnic area and if you leave it there, you will spoil a spotless place. Gorgeous, easy hike. It took us about 3 hours from Barcenillas and back but we could have spent a little longer at the waterfalls. The path there is paved and it’s green and beautiful. The themselves are awesome. Highly recommend! This my first hike here in Spain and the trail was very easy to follow and the view is majestic.
