A good-sized that's conveniently located for the old of Carcassonne, which is only twenty minutes away. Motorhomes and camping-cars only with your own sanitation . No tents or caravans. It's easy to find, just off the bypass that runs around the city, right next to the Camping de Citè campsite, that was temporarily closed when we visited in October 2024. The camping-car is exactly just that an aire, where you can to stay for 24, 48 or 72 HRS, or for up to six hours if you just want to park. Either way, there's a short of about twenty minutes along the nearby river and then up into the city. Ok, the isn't cheap, we paid €14 for the van and then €1.70 each per person. For 24 HRS, when compared to camping-car sites, (which on average, are around €12/13 and have electric) is alot of money. So yes, that's right this doesn't have electric, but it does have space for around 25 camping-cars. The is level with a tarmac parking and service area, leading around the site with around the outside and inner area, each with hardstanding, some with shade and others without. The are all spacious and comfortably take a 7m camping-car. So no problem at all. The service area, with two grey waste disposal drains is very serviceable and easy to use, and included within the price there's 'one' lot of from the service area (but as others have mentioned, make sure, like us that you have multiple sized adapters for the tap, not just here but everywhere you travel, there are so many different ones, so be prepared). There's also a brown waste disposal drain. So there's the essentials that you'll need for your stay at this and your visit to Carcassone. It does however annoy me when I read some of the where they've rated the one star based on a tap fitment, yes a tap fitment!!! Come on now, just because you're not prepared and haven't made provision for your trip don't be so negative, it's's a good clean, level with good so close to the town, so try and be a bit more constructive. We paid less than €6 at a garden centre in Gaillac for all of the tap fittings we would ever be likely to need on our travels, yes less than €6 of their own brand fitments. And that was to have spares and to supplement the ones that we already had with us. Easy really. Level 9 Google reviewer; 1,000 plus with nearly 2 million views and over 12,000 photos with over 55 million views and still going strong 💪. I read before we visit, particularly when it comes to restaurants, bars, shops, hotels, and of course campsites and motorhome aires. I tend to find that some people, a small number of keyboard warriors, particularly those who do have often completed a relatively small number of reviews, many of which are because they find time to review negatively rather than positively or constructively because they like to moan or simply be when in reality what they're 'moaning' about is so small or minor that they've lost perspective and are being trivial. It's like leaving a review of a motorhome having a poor mobile phone signal. Why? The mobile phone company or network infrastructure organisation aren't going to read it and the company running the aren't going to be able to change it! Or moaning about flies or smells from adjoining farmland. If you don't like it, pack up your motorhome, put it on eBay and book yourself a package holiday to Benidorm and leave the motorhoming to those who truly enjoy it. So why leave a poor review? It's just pointless & a smacks of 'petty-ism'. Check out my other reviews, and always be nice and kind when you can 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. Gut gestalteter Stellplatz, sehr stadtnah gelegen. A great space minutes away from the Citadel. Excellent and well kept. Very good value. A really nice and fairly cheap - no but it’s only a 10 minute along the river to Carcassonne. A really nice aire, with nice screened by shrubs. Next door to Camping de la Cite and signed off the D6161. You can pay to use the borne, if you don't wish to stay, which is handy. The tap connector for the fresh is rather large so make sure that you have a 1" or 25mm hose connector. Great stop 24 hr parking £12.00 Short to Having just arrived i am going with 4 stars due to its location and security. 15 euros gets you barrier controlled security, but no electricity. 7 units here this morning. Hard standing with hedges. Machine at barriers takes your bank card for payment and has multi language instructions. Ignore the reviews, its pretty perfect for the city. Electricity would be icing on the cake tho. Pas l électricité. Plus de 15€55 pour 2 c est chère non?? Schöner Platz am Rande der Stadt, gut besucht, selbst im März. 20 Minuten zur Innenstadt. This site gets pretty poor possibly because they are hard on their rules. The as a seperate part of the town camp site and charges €15 plus tax of 44c per person per day. For this you get a fairly large pitch access to for 10 minutes from when you start the flow. The time must also be used if you wish to flush out your cassette. So you must be organised! This seems to irritate people, and they don't make all of it clear. On top of that you are not allowed us any of the of the campsite. This includes the bar and restaurant. This I do think is nuts but their site their rules. But it is clean neat and well maintained the town is a relatively short away and is lovely. BTW the Campsite rate off season is €18.50 plus the tax EHU €4.10 Flat ground, enough space. No electric. Great location. Walking distance to the city. Level but no (which we knew so no problem). Perfekte Lage. Ausser Strom alles vorhanden. WC - Kassettenentleerung und Spülung benötigt ein Update. Rätselhafte Mülltrennung. Stayed at Camping le Cite next door which is great. Have previously stayed at the but lack of EHU let's it down, but would use again. This is without doubt one of the best Camping site i have stayed on in france ,location only beautiful ,clean and plenty of shade and a lovely swimming pool to cool down, and the 2 lovely ladies at reception are so friendly and helpful Nice aire, mostly level on gravel with some open and others with shrub borders. Some areas have tree canopy to help with the shade from the sun. Tarmac entry with 2 service areas. Gravel path leads you along a walk/cycle route to the city. 15-minute or 5-minute cycle ride mostly flat. Zeer verzorgde, groene camperplaats. Ruime plekken en voorzieningen voor zwart en grijs water. Leuke wandeling van 20 minuutjes naar de vesting. Geen sanitaire voorzieningen. For a it has plenty of space, trees for shade, some separated by hedges. Very busy, even midweek in March, it was completely full by 7pm (we arrived at 2pm). Lots of walking to see all the sights so bring comfortable shoes très bien située à 20 min à pied de la citadelle. Manque l'électricité! Camping-Car Park hat alles was man braucht wenn man autark ist. Grauwasser/Toilettenentsorgung 👍 Frischwasser 👍 Angenehme Nachtruhe Convenient for a 20 minute or so to Carcassonne Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
