I really doubted I’d be leaving this place a 5* review before I visited. 3 days later we went every evening of our holiday as our air BnB was next door. Ridiculously reasonable, amazing cocktails / especially the caipirinha was the best I’ve had. Peanuts with every round, it’s a must-visit if you’re staying nearby! A really cosy bar & restaurant that serve food. Bar staff are all very attentive and really friendly. Local Pub is under new management and if feels like customer service is their priority. The pub has lots of small tables and plenty of seating, the seats are surprisingly heavy but I found them comfy. They have 3 TV screens for showing sports and the whole pub is decorated with football scarves. It is a place for a drink while soaking up the atmosphere, to meet with friends or even make a new friend! Young Madeira couple bought the bar only 3 months ago. A lovely place to eat and drink. Recommend going 👌 comfy seats and food. We even had shots with the owners. Truthfully, one of the best Moscow mules I’ve had on the island just that thought is pretty crazy. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are super friendly. It was our first experience in Madeira and it set the bar very high 🥰 This bar was right next to our hotel and we were there every night. There are both locals and tourists that frequent the bar. Their Poncha is the BEST I had in Madeira, freshly squeezed orange juice and just the right amount of alcohol. They have a wide variety of beers as well as food, their playlists are also great! Absolutely recommend this bar. Great small local bar showing live sports and they do a mean Poncha. Plenty of football scarves/pennants from all over the world on the ceiling and walls. Staff attentive and friendly but service can be slow when they are making cocktails. Stays open late and the cocktails/snacks are too 👍 Great music, and snacks. The young lady who runs this place is lovely and really makes you feel welcome. Had no food hence no stars. Came here as read reviews, not disappointed, had some coral beer, gin and then tried the capirinha?? Lime based, very nice. Really is a locals place but also very welcoming. So athmosphehe. Watched some serious football games there and enjoyed tasty drinks (fresh poncha) and fine beers. Reasonable prices! Will be back for another taste! My best to Angelo, Eliah and the BOYS! So pleased we discovered this fantastic bar. Angelo is a great host and the bar has a brilliant, friendly atmosphere. Lovely to chat to locals as well as other holiday makers. We tried some drinks that we'd never had before, passion fruit shots were lovely, definitely the best bar we'd been to. We stayed in Madeira 4 nights, 2 out of those 4 we chose to have dinner there. Great food and beer! Definitely come if you’re nearby. Tip: try camembert bites, the best! Amazing pub!
