Winter Sun in Santa Cruz We decided almost at the last minute to escape the hectic Christmas week in England. On 25th December, everything in Santa Cruz was closed, but by the 26th, some places started to reopen. The is filled with large pebbles and there’s a decent sized promenade for a walk along the coast, though it doesn’t seem to connect to another (though I might be wrong). Santa Cruz could be called a sleepy if you’re looking for a buzzing place, but for us, it was perfect a quiet spot that’s far from dead. Mostly, you’ll see local people, with very few tourists. There are no communal swimming pools open at this time of year, though some brave souls swim in the sea. I highly recommend Santa Cruz for anyone looking for a small seaside with authentic local vibes. Everything here is reasonably priced, so there’s no need to worry about getting ripped off.
