Harmondsworth Moor

Uxbridge, United Kingdom Park

One of the Best Places To Visits in Longford Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Very pleasant place to or exercise. It's maturing now ( built on top of landfill site). Some rivers, bridges, paths make for interest. But it's always going to be stuck between Heathrow and M4/ M25 junction. Worth a look. Not a bad little nature area hidden behind a motorway junction. There’s a sizeable car park with a very narrow width restriction on entry so vans/caravans can’t enter and ever large 4x4s will struggle to get in. There’s a river running through it with clean looking water and several bridges and grassland and woods and wildflower meadows. You’ll find lots of blackberries for picking here in august. Lovely place well looked after would recomend Harmondsworth Moor is located beetween motorways M4, M25 and road A4 near Heathrow Airport. This is a nice open parkland contains the meadows, rivers, lakes and ponds. Meandering paths take you through open countryside and new plantations. Open area when you wanna with the dog. The parkland has two car parks, but they are not opened all the time at this same time. I like to up to the hills and the lake which is located more close to M4 where u can seat in peace from all the life rush. Nice park near Heathrow, large and spacious. It is a bit wild and rough but that can be an advantage for most . Great place to all day, not busy either, some seating dotted around, no toilets. Big carpark, but they've made it a small entrance to keep certain vehicles out, you'd not get a transit through or anything bigger, possibly not 4x4s either, entrance not that wide. Great place for a sunny day with nice muddy trails or to sit facing the water. I love to take my dog for a stroll there. However, some people are really irresponsible and litter plastic waste or leave their dog's poo on the grass. People, please pick up after yourselves and your kids (dogs), they are your responsibility too. Your negligence leads to a bad experience for the rest of us. Found the lake by surprise, a lovely place to visit with a path to the subway and another by the lake. Also another which leads to the visitor centre. Parking available nearby. It was a great ride on International ride mountain bike day. Good place for spending precious time in the Nature with greenery & water. Only bad thing is you can hear the cars using the motorway next to this. Lovely place to or cycle. Green walking trail very close to Heathrow Airport. We had one hour to kill before returning our rental car and heading off to Heathrow Airport, so decided to find a green walking trail to enjoy nature before our long flight home. Google map showed this trail which looked suitably close to the car rental company and Hwathrow Airport. Pleasant walking trail by a beautiful river/stream. Clean and clear water, gorgeous June weather, safe parking space. Bumped into a few dog-walkers and joggers. Loved it. Love this place, could happily around the moor and village for hours. You don’t have to own a dog to enjoy the experience but it does help. Be aware though that if it’s been raining a lot the lake does have a tendency to flood quite heavily. That being said it’s still a lovely place to your cares away. Beautiful, but sadly under threat by this mad third runway idea that the Govt an Heathrow have to expand, it would be at such a huge environmental cost to this area where people live..it would totally destroy this area and a third of the southern part of the Colne Valley Park too... scandalous Harmondsworth Moor, a cherished green space near Heathrow Airport, is under threat from the government’s reckless expansion plans. The proposed third runway would devastate this tranquil area, displacing wildlife and disrupting the local community. The government’s disregard for environmental preservation and community well-being is appalling. Their pursuit of expansion at any cost, without considering the ecological and social consequences, is a disgrace. Lovely park I was able to to from the nearby Hyatt hotel. There are a nice number of public byways through fields and the park itself has very well-maintained dirt/gravel paths, great for running, biking, etc. Curiously, several spots where there had been campfires — by Anna’s Bridge, and nearby in the circular grove of trees. Some graffiti on signs Accommodation Lane, though unsure if that is in the park proper. Lovely place to and relax . Beautiful lake .
