The complex is a family favourite with a variety; slides, lazy river, wave machine, and jacuzzi. Ideal for primary school age children. I understand this place runs at a loss basically and it’s an asset to the community and should be saved for the greater of the local people and the like. But Woking councils debt forcing this place to up their price is ridiculous. With a concession key card (low income person) it’s £7 just to go for a swim I thought it was a joke. At Godalming Center in Waverley I pay £3.90 to Swim! Mental nearly double the price Woking what the heck! Unfortunately do to cleanliness this place is getting worse. Sand in the small . Steps up to are disgusting most of the time. Lagun is nice considering let down with cleanliness. July 2025 (one star): Seven months on and still no timetable available. It turns out the times posted online are not even updated during school holidays. Was told to file a complaint to get an up to date timetable constructed. Totally bonkers. Dec 2024 (two stars): No timetable available online (the existing "list" is feeble). Advised one is available on site but unclear why it can't be posted online where it's useful. The facility's cleanliness is not maintained. Pool does contain water. 👍 On the plus side, this is a nice with a running river, wave machine, a couple of flumes and other attractions to entertain children of mixed ages. The staff were exceedingly friendly and by comparison to other similar pools in the local area, the entry fee fort two adults and a 4 year old seems to offer value. On the down side, the website and booking system are shockingly bad and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the misses a lot of business this way. Spend a few hundred pounds getting this right and I'm sure that it would pay fort itself. Cold showers! Come on, it's a center, not a prison. Lastly, the cafe. Dirty to the point of us cleaning tables and chairs before sitting, very poor food quality and high prices relative to what was served. Again this wouldn't be hard to transform without great cost.....and it may encourage people to come back. We won't be going back to the cafe. Basically its a nice venue with potential but its clearly not being managed properly now. Come on Woking council, pull your finger out. Have been visiting with my daughter for years, we have had lots of fun in the lagoon pool. The place has struggled for money, due to Woking being bankrupt, but it's still here and still providing us with a convenient place to swim. They have introduced floats to play with to mix it up a bit and the work. I've been to several similar pools, all can have issues with cleanliness, but this has mostly been clean on the whole. We are local and have used the lagoon over the last few years and the place needs some maintenance. Floors pealing away/cracking. Lockers not working properly or no keys. Freedom please invest into maintaining this once very facility! The staff are amazing but if it carries on not being maintained it'll be closed down for health and safety reasons. SORT IT OUT FREEDOM LEISURE!! Where do I start. Haven’t visited in the park for a few years and I was shocked how much it had fallen into disrepair since our last visit. Nearly broke my neck just walking to the pool…no matting or signs warning how slippery the floor was. Sand/grit in the toddler area. No wave machine anymore. No jacuzzi on the river section. Stairs to the dangerous and disgusting. Warning tape and bits of tiles falling off. Kids with guns in the pool?? Definitely won’t be returning. EVER Swim every week with my son & have a second fun trip to the too when I've time. There's a sauna next to the main (competition) pool. Plenty of showers - cubicle & open. Clean changing rooms. Entry is very reasonable. You need a returnable £1 coin for lockers. Nice cafe. Great features in the pool, limited spaces means it's never too busy which is always an issue at the spectrum. No large but not too fussed about those atm. Staff are kind and helpful We stopped off for a few hours fun on a rainy day with our 3 year old as we were heading past and towards Dover. The is like many of our facilities; old, run down but charming and still completely usable as they are. I have no problem with that and all coming from a run down northwestern town myself. What I do have a problem with is the absolute disgraceful hygiene standards on display here. It cost over £20 for two adults and a 3 year old to go inside, which is on the steep side but not a problem if everything is OK once you're there. The 'changing village' as it's rather stupidly coined was covered in muck, grime and rubbish from one cubicle to the next. Then heading into the showers before going into the (mandatory for hygiene reasons) there was a nappy full of crap in one cubicle, the drains blocked and all the hair, soap and empty packaging floating around. As you walk around the place the floor is covered in orange grime, plasters, hair, snot and sand. The staircase to the were disgusting. As we left the place 90 minutes later all of the above, especially the crappy nappy was still sat there in the tiny little shower area. Then you've got 5-6 attendants all stood watching what's going on, blowing whistles at everything and nothing and shouting into a megaphone to tell swimmers to get out when their session has expired. I found this to be extremely stressful and a bit of an insult to see where this focuses its attention on as a business. Not one person did I see with a cleaning bucket or a squidgy or any type of hygiene effort to keep the place reasonable. It's so tiny and full of kids and after an hour or so I started feeling like we would all get sick from our time there. There is no way that such a place can be left that dirty. There was no way that the dirt present on the day we were there was created on that day alone. The place is clearly left dirty daily and that is not acceptable. Visited today the itself was nice for the kids and fun but the tiredness of the reception waiting with no lights in the seating and very old work chairs, filthy toilets and overall cleaning throughout let the place down . The lockers also have string instead of the plastic bracelet on and filthy . Hair in the drains in the shower rooms and dirty floors have unfortunately put me off coming back also the stairs to the we’re disgusting and broken down peeling off trip hazard with the kids to the right with broken stones next to the ladder and filthy floor inside made me cringe . The slippery slope down into the (why no rubber matts)! Is very dangerous Very slippery indeed with a toddler in hand out some rubber matting there surely there more than the matts to the hot tub area. .Who is the management team here such a shame as it is quite a nice little space if it was cleaned better it really needs an overhaul. £8.50 for adult and £2.50 child for an hour wasn’t bad . Just feel if the surroundings are not clean I worry what is in the now I’ve been if testing is being done if cleaning isn’t . Sorry to be so blunt but the state of the cleaning is obvious and should be addressed. I hope management read this and address the issues . Baby room was appalling seems like the policy board is not being followed. Attended the cafe today after swimming, we were served by Roseanna, who is always very helpful and patient whenever we are served by her. Forever has a big smile on her face too, she is a real asset to the team! :) Came here today with my husband and two children ages 3 and 5. My kids enjoyed themselves and the cost is reasonable however I really think this place could do with closing for a week and all staff focusing on getting this place CLEAN!! The stairs leading to the especially were not just unclean but filthy, covered in grime, loose tiles that had been repaired/bodged with duct tape. My husband also witnessed a child cut their foot on one of the steps so not just dirty but unsafe too. Floor tiles mouldy, even the little toddler had some sort of orange sandy stuff at the bottom of it. Cafe looked tired and uninviting, food all over the floor, staff looked like they would rather be anywhere else. My husband was served an americano coffee that was actually BOILING hot and burnt his hand. Unsafe and unacceptable. Whole place really needs a freshen up I’m afraid! It’s a shame because I have been visiting this place since I was a child myself , but unfortunately unless hygiene standards dramatically improve we will not be returning. Visited this morning for lane in the competition pool. Considering the other reviews, I was pleasantly surprised - the changing rooms were clean, plenty of lockers, showers were hot, and the itself was lovely and quiet - had a lane to myself most of the hour I was there. If you look hard you can see things are tired in places but I can't say it affected my swim at all. Only downside - £8.50 is pretty steep compared to other places which do feel newer, but I am grateful to have this facility in Woking - otherwise it's a long drive to Surrey Sports Park!
